This year has brought us many things, from the utter failure of the Stitch’s Supersonic Celebration, to the triumph of Space Mountain. We have seen happiness, like the announcements at D23 of the overhauls taking place in the future, and we have also seen sadness, mainly all of the tragedies that have befallen the Disney Company this year.

We must cheer over the joys, mourn over the losses and, as Walt would say, “Keep Moving Forward!”

Keep moving toward what exactly? What could be waiting for us over the horizons of 2010?

One thing I will wager (and hope for) is a timeline for the Fantasyland refurbishment.  I would like to know when the last time to see Minnie and Mickey’s house will be.  Another change I would look for is some updates and changes to the transportation systems.  Between the Monorail tragedy and shutdowns and the bus accident, I am pretty sure that there will be at least some new safety features added.

Over in Hollywood Studios, I would like to know what exactly is going to happen to Sounds Dangerous.  Are they going to leave it closed all year again just to open it for two weeks? And my final prediction for 2010 is more of a warning…keeps your eyes on the Studios Backlot Tour…the word that seems to be going around is that there is a refurb planned for that attraction in February, but I am wondering whether it is just a refurb or a possible permanent shutdown. Ideas and concept art for a Monsters themed coaster has been circulating and Backlot Tour does have a nice space right at the end of Pixar Place.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year! See you in 2010!
