One of her proudest moments was when her son told her that he wanted to be an Imagineer and she can’t wait until her daughter is old enough to have a favorite Disney princess. She hopes to instill a life long love for Disney in her children and any one else who is willing to have a little faith and trust!

Ahoy! Summer is upon us and as the mother of two very rambunctious little boys, I am always looking for activities that will engage and calm them down for a few precious moments during our long days! As a family who leads a Disney Lifestyle, I can bet that I will grab my little munchkins attention if I wave a Disney related activity in front of them! My boys absolute favorite show on television right now is Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so you can imagine my excitement when I learned that Disney Junior is launching a programming event specifically for this show!

We have been known to sprinkle gold doubloons around our yard so can the kids can run around collecting them. Now they can also hunt for virtual gold doubloons that will be sneaking into their favorite shows on Disney Junior! Children will have plenty of searching to do, as the treasure hunt begins on Monday, June 13th and will continue until Friday, August 26th.

Make sure you tally up how many gold doubloons your little pirates spot. I know my own little 4 year old Jake will be running to the computer to enter the number on the Disney Junior website each week, and he will be happy to find that doing this will give him the key to unlocking previews of new episodes, games, and activities!

The fun doesn’t stop here. My pre-schooler is constantly looking for craft projects to do and most of the time he wants me to think them up for him! I can give my thinker a break for once because Disney Junior has also come up with the great idea of providing us with gold doubloons that we can download, print out, and decorate. When he’s done with his creation he’ll probably ask me to take a picture of him holding it; which is great because Disney Junior invites buccaneers to upload these photos to the Disney Junior web site. Some lucky sailors will even have their photos featured on air during Disney Junior programming!

Here’s hoping that starting on Monday, my little ones and I can have some swashbuckling fun thanks to Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney Junior!
