Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Getaway

Many of us enjoy our time in Walt Disney World’s parks. However, even the most die hard Disney fans often get tired after several days of walking the world-class theme parks! If you are interested in finding a way to enjoy a bit of Disney while also enjoying some relaxation, consider a few nights at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

This resort is located in Vero Beach, FL, which is a little over 100 miles or 2 hours away from Orlando, FL. The resort is located right on the Atlantic coast, thus offering beautiful, oceanfront first class accommodations.

The resort is one of the resorts included in the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) family. However, everyone (even non-DVC members) is invited to retreat to this resort to relax, regroup and unwind. The resort offers a wide variety of accommodation types. The smallest type is the Deluxe Inn Guestroom (Deluxe Studio) which will sleep 4 guests in a 360 square foot space with bathroom, kitchenette and view of the garden or ocean. The largest space is the Disney Deluxe Villas (3 Bedroom Beach Cottage) which will sleep 12 guests in a 2175 square foot space with several bathrooms and a kitchen.

In addition to the plush accommodations, the resort offers a wide variety of amenities and activities for people of all ages to enjoy. The spa entices many with a menu of facials, massages and body therapies. The workout facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment, helping you to keep up with your regular workout routine while on vacation. On-site, enjoy a variety of dining experiences including a character breakfast or dinner at Shutters Restaurant. Children will appreciate the Disney Discovery Club, where they will meet friends while enjoying a variety of crafts, movies, and games. For those that enjoy water play, the resort offers a Mickey-shaped pool which is kept at 82 degrees. For a bit of adventure, hop aboard the water slide, Pirate Plunge, or head your own treasure hunt!

Many Walt Disney World vacationers love this resort as a retreat for a mid-Disney vacation rest. Others love to visit this resort as a vacation destination. Have you ever visited this resort? What did you think?

My wife and I loved the flexibility of choosing the beach or pool. We also enjoyed Shutter’s Character breakfast for that Disney feel. Otherwise, this resort has all the special touches and comforts of Disney without the hectic park touring. I’m a Vero Beach fan!
