What’s New with Disney Vacation Club

Riley McDaniel grew up in Corpus Christi, TX in a low-socioeconomic household and one of the favorite family activites was to watch The Wonderful World of Disney (along with it's other reincarnations) on Sunday nights. Although the family couldn't afford to take a trip to Disney World made it his dream to one day see that magical world. This dream served as one of the many aspirations to do well in school and attend college. Today, Riley has a masters degree in Library Science and serves as a librarian at Red Oak High School in Red Oak Texas where he continues to give Disney as a source of inspiration to students. His family, a lovely wife, eleven year old son and seven year old daughter, lovingly refer to themselves as Disney Geeks. They can regularly be found hosting Disney parties whether it's for simply the premier of the Phineas and Ferb movie or a child's birthday party. As members of the Disney Vacation club (Wilderness Lodge home resort) the family can be found at Disney World once a year and Riley gives mini-seminars on planning the perfect Disney vacation.

Hello, fellow Disney Neurotics! Once again it is time for a Disney Vacation Club update.

Four new destinations in lovely New England start off our round-up. The  Concierge Collection boasts new locations in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire, all within driving distance of Boston’s Logan International airport:

InnSeason Resorts Captain’s Quarters – Falmouth, MA

InnSeason Resorts Surfside – Falmouth, MA

InnSeason Resorts The Falls at Ogunquite – Ogunquit, ME

InnSeason Resorts Pollard Brook – Lincoln, NH

Remember, you can only book Disney Concierge Collection if you bought your DVC membership directly from Disney.

While not a DVC only announcement, this seems like a nice place to make sure you know about the newest Adventures by Disney tour location: South America, featuring a 12 day/11 night tour that will take you through Ecuador, Amazon and the Galapagos Islands!

In case you haven’t noticed, the Polynesian Resort is currently constructing 20 waterfront bungalows for DVC members, therefore making it a new DVC resort. Due to this, and other changes at the resort, it will soon be renamed Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Interestingly, this is the original name of the resort.

All DVC members will welcome this new perk! All members booking a resort stay are receiving MagicSliders along with their wrist bands, available while supplies last. DVC wants to stress to members that the slider is not proof of membership and you should still carry your membership card for discounts and privileges.

I will be back in a couple of months with more updates and news. In the meantime if you have any questions about DVC, please ask away.
