**Disclaimer – I received these books for review purposes from the Disney Book Group. All opinions are my own.

Story time is always a favorite in this Neurotic Disney home. NDK (Neurotic Disney Kid) is old enough to read, but not too old to still be read to! Books are wonderful on so many levels. We keep them everywhere – even in the car! Disney Books are a great way to keep Disney at home. Disney Book Group was kind enough to send these books for NDK approval – be sure to look for the NDK Review after the description of each book!

empire strikes back read along story and cd

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

Okay, maybe it was just last month, NDK & I reviewed Star Wars: A New Hope Read Along Storybook & CD. Listening to the familiar story on CD was equivalent to reliving childhood. Those childhood memories are alive again with the second installment in the trilogy, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Read Along Storybook & CD. On shelves tomorrow, TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2015, this book takes you back to the awesomeness you felt when you saw the Wampa, when Luke first found Yoda, and that one particular movie line that will remain with you forever….

I AM YOUR FATHER……

Be sure not to miss this important right of passage for your child. Read Along stories are great! Read Along stories AND Star Wars? Even better! Star Wars is just one of those epic sagas that appeals to girls and boys, children and adults, young and old.

From the publisher:

The Rebellion faces its darkest hour in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. Fully illustrated with gorgeous images by Star Wars artist Brian Rood, this epic storybook also includes a CD with word-for-word narration, music, and character voices. Follow along as Luke Skywalker trains with Yoda to become a Jedi and defeat the fearsome Darth Vader.

The NDK Review: This book is just like the movie. The music in the story made the battles seem scary. I like how the music does that. The illustrator for this book made some of the pictures look very real. Yoda is funny – I like the way he talks. C3-PO’s voice was really C-3PO! That was neat. I am excited to have the next book in the series. I am looking forward to the next one!
