dancing-with-the-stars dwtsMonday night is always exciting for my family when Dancing with the Stars is on and last night was no different!  The show was dedicated to “celebrating the most memorable year of your life!”

We started off with Nastia being safe and first up to dance. Nastia picked 2008, the year Nastia won gold at the Olympics. Derek enjoyed seeing her gold medal. She was dancing the Argentine Tango to “Dark Eyes”. Nastia had beautiful sharp lines, grace, and intensity on the dance floor! Wow! Powerful! Len said the dancing was heating up, but that the character was missing. He said, “He did not feel it in his heart!” Boos were all over the audience!  The other judges loved it!  With the first 10 of the season from Bruno, they ended with a 36!  I hear ya Bruno! I was giving them a 10, also!

Next up, we found out the three couples that were safe and in jeopardy. Robert and Kym were safe! Riker and Micheal were in jeopardy!

Michael was up next to dance, explaining his lack of support from his father throughout his life.  He was dancing the Rumba to “I’m Not My Father’s Son,” due to the rift between his father and himself.  Michael showed passion and intensity in his dancing!  With tears and applause, the judges could see his connection with Peta, dancing his soul, and with beautiful passion in the dance! Those raves and tears gave Michael a grand total of 30.

Riker recalls 2014 when his singing career took off. Riker and Allison danced the Tango to “Shut Up and Dance with Me”. He had exacting and purposeful movement all dressed in red!  Bruno appreciated how, with the song picked, they accomplished an amazing Tango.  The judges felt as if they were to ridged!  They left the dance floor with a 34.

They announced next week is Disney night!  Yeah!  Halfway mark means “Show Your #DisneySide,”  and I can’t wait to see what they will bring to the dance floor!

Robert was remembering 2006 when he lost his mother. He was a child with very little money, but with all of the support of his mother. He saw how no amount of money could save his mom from cancer! His mom loved Dancing with the Stars! Dancing the Waltz, with ease and grace, Robert was very dapper! Carrie Ann teared up with the performance. Len said, “Best Dance!”  Julianne loved his frame, and Bruno said, “Ballroom Beauty!” They scored a beautiful score of 34.

Now Chris, Patti, and Rumer will find out if they are in jeopardy or safe. They are all safe!  Chris is dancing the Rumba remembering his experience on the Bachelor. Chris was so happy that he finally found the love of his life!  Chris was so in tune to Whitney, the DWST’s Whitney.  I saw improvement, but the judges did not see the connection to “this Whitney!”  Bruno saw improvement  and Carrie Ann saw the connection! I’m with Carrie Ann! They happily accepted their 27! Yikes! Again, Yikes!

Patti was up next, remembering 1973. The year her son was born she realized nothing compared to having a child. Dancing a Jazz number with Artem was hopping! Her blue tassels were moving! Wow! The judges loved it! Her legs, moves, and rythm was obvious! They skipped off to a score of 30!

Rumer and Val are up with the Waltz. 2014 was finally when Rumer let go of the sadness of being looked at as ugly. She felt as if she was always being compared to her beautiful mother and was never enough. With that said, Rumer dedicated her dance to her sister and all who struggle with not feeling good enough. You can see through her dancing that she feels beautiful! Rumer had a beautiful and graceful flow to her dance that it almost seemed to tell a story! The judges said beautiful, character, power from within, and power! They scored a strong 35!

Up next is Suzanne, Noah, and Willow to find out who is safe and who is in jeopardy. Willow was the only one in jeopardy!

Suzanne was remembering 1978 when she became Crissy Snow!  This dance was for John Ritter(Jack)! They danced the Fox Trot to the “Threes Company” intro song.  The judges loved her foot action, charm, and  light as air!  With her happy, jolly way she received a score of 28.

Willow was remembering the year 2011. That was the year the she received the Hunger Games part.  She is a fighter on the floor to a contemporary dance.   With a Hunger Games reinactment, my son’s comment, “That was ridiculously amazing!” The judges were blown away!  With paying tribute to her fans, she received an almost perfect score of 39!

Noah remembered 2005, when a trip wire detonated a bomb that took his left arm and left leg.  Noah got depressed from the accident, and then had to turn that horrible experience around. Noah’s contemporary dance was dedicated to his journey. With grace and strength, he delivered amazing lifts and turns!  Improvement does not describe you, an unbroken spirit, dances with poetry, and guts and glory were the judges comments!  They received a final score of 32.

Now who is safe, Willow! Riker is safe and Micheal was eliminated.  Michael was thrilled to be a part of DWTS! Next, week is Disney night! Same time, same place!  Dance like no one is watching!
