dancing-with-the-stars dwtsYeah!  Disney Night on DWTS was AMAZING!!!!  Everyone was ready to show their #DisneySide!

It starting off with “It’s a Small World” playing while Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy with cartoon characters roamed the dance floor! The intro reminded me of Mary Poppins. They did an amazing job of mixing live action with animation! It was amazing! I felt as if I were walking through Walt Disney World! The castle and fireworks on stage were beautiful!

Robert was safe. Suzanne was in jeopardy and danced first. They were dancing Jazz to”He’s a Tramp” from Lady and the Tramp. Suzanne was in her element and loving her role! I wish could have seen a few more moves. If she had not had a dress malfunction, it would have been her best dance. This was a general consensus with all the judges. Suzanne scored all 7’s, and I agreed. She scored a total of 28.

Dapper Robert was up next with the Quickstep to “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins. Wow, that was right up Robert’s alley! Even though his feet were a little all over the place, he reminded me of a chipper Dick Van Dyke. He had an amazing hop to his steps, but ended with all 6’s due to placement of his feet. With a total of 24, they still kicked up their heels!

Chris was in jeopardy,  Willow was safe, and Patti was in jeopardy. Patti was up next dancing the Waltz to “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio. She was not feeling well before her performance. Patti was so graceful on the dance floor! The judges were impressed with her charm and presence! Erin called her the “fairy godmother.”  Patti felt blessed with her score of 27.

Willow was up next as Alice in Wonderland!   Willow as Alice and Mark as the March Hare were dancing the Fox Trot to “Alice’s Theme” from the live-action Alice in Wonderland.   Willow’s dancing and acting abilities were amazing to me! The judges saw improvement, but were disappointed with her foot work and hold. They ended with a 34. They were thrilled!

Chris and Whitney were up next. After an injury in practice, they were trying to bounce back.   Chris was Hercules dancing the Quick Step to “Zero to Hero” from Disney’s Hercules.  I knew this would be a challenge for Chris.  His steps were pretty good, but not quick. The judges were trying to help Chris realize that he needed to be at one with the music and his partner.  Alfonso, from last season, joined in on the fun. With a score of 27 they were happy.

We found out that next week is Spring Break week! That means that they will dance in teams along with their regular dances. The competition is really on! Ok, back to the dance floor!

Who was safe and who was in jeopardy?  They were all safe!!!! Rumer, Nastia, Noah, and Riker were thrilled. Noah was up next with a Fox Trot to “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin. Floating down on his carpet, Noah was amazing! For most of his performance, I forgot that he had a disability. I was impressed! The judges were impressed and were amazed! I was swept away in the moment, but the judges did not agree with me!  They ended with a score of 28.

We headed to the Caribbean with Riker.  Riker as Jack Sparrow was dancing the Paso Doble to “He’s a Pirate” from Pirates of the Caribbean. Wow!!!!!!! What a powerful, exciting, and totally in character performance! The judges were blown away! “Pirates of the Caribbean and Fast and Furious all pulled into one dance,” were the comments from the judges. Riker was living in character!  With two Mickey 10’s they received a grand total of 38.

Rumer wanted to be a villian, so she picked Ursula. Rumer was dancing the Samba to “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.  Wow! Amazing! Rumer received a long standing ovation! It was just amazing! The judges said everyone was drinking the Disney juice! Every judge was impressive and mesmerized by this performance. They were thrilled – 3 Mickey 10’s, totaling 39. Minnie came out to hug Ursula aka Rumer.

Last but not least, by any means, is Nastia. Dancing to “Love is an Open Door” from Disney’s Frozen, they danced Jazz. I felt as if I were watching a Disney Broadway Frozen performance! The judges were captured in the “Wonderful World of Disney!” With this powerful and amazing dance, they received 2 Mickey 10’s, with a ending score of 38.

Mickey joined everyone on the dance floor to see who was eliminated. Patti and Chris were safe. That left Suzanne as the one eliminated. At the age of 68, Suzanne appreciated her DWTS experience.

I could have watched this week’s show again and again! I love Disney night! I love it when people show and live their #DisneySide!!!!  Next week is Spring Break Night so until then, dance like no one is watching!
