dancing-with-the-stars dwtsIt was Spring Break Night on DWTS!   We are now past the halfway point and the competition is getting serious! The evening started off with our dancers at the beach and who doesn’t love the beach!  We were so ready for team dances!

With beach balls covering the dance floor, the dancers entered. Patti was up first with the Quickstep to “Heat Wave.” Posing as a sunbather, Patti popped up with classy and fun movements! I hope when I am 70 I can move my feet that quick!  The judges loved the improvement and fun pizzazz that Patti always rocks on the dance floor! She gladly accepted a 29 from the judges!

Nastia was up next with the Tango to “Summer.”  My first thoughts were, who was the dancer and who was the pro. I did see a lack of connection! Yikes!  I was right! The judges loved it but saw the disconnect! P.S. I loved Carrie Ann’s earrings! Anyways, Nastia’s white outfit looked amazing on her!  She rocked a 34!

Willow is up next and we hear that she has never had a Spring Break!  Wow, I guess becoming an actress at a young age comes with a price. She danced the Salsa to “Tequila.” Willow’s leg placement was amazing to me! Her acting skills showed in her face! The judges said, “You went for it,” “Sassy,” and “Very evolved, but you need to carry the legs through!”  I thought it was amazing! She totaled with a score of 34.

Next, Robert danced the Jive to “Surfing Safari.”  Robert was pushing through the low scores from last week. Robert was so chipper and happy with every step! The judges loved his steps, but noticed that he was not timed with Kym’s steps. Robert stepped away with all 7’s, totaling a 28.

While I was watching DWTS, my son was baking cookies and starting a small fire in the oven, but anyways, Noah was on next!  He danced the Rumba to “Waves.”  The dance was full of intensity!  The judges were amazed by his lower body extension. The Rumba was a difficult dance for Noah but he was still amazing! He continues to stun the judges and ended with a total score of 29! They were thrilled!

Rumer has blown me away week after week. Up next, she danced Jazz to “Bootylicious!”  She rocked it in every way, but some judges loved it and some felt as if it was lacking in content. “Ballroom, not a bedroom,” was the comment from Len. They shook everything off the dance floor to a grand total of 32.

Chris was up next with the Viennese Waltz to “Hopelessly Devoted to You.” I was impressed! I called it “the best dance he has done!”  Bruno agreed! Carrie Ann was in awe! Len disliked the details in the dance, but Julianne had to shake his hand! I was so happy for Chris and Whitney and they happily received a total of 31!

Riker was up with the Samba to “Want to Want Me.”  Ricker was off the chain! I loved his dance! Everyone enjoyed Riker, except Len. I love his intensity and dancing ability. Bruno and Carrie Ann gave them the first 2 tens of the night! They scored a grand total of 37!!!!

Now it was time for team dances! First, we found out that Nastia was safe, Willow was safe,  Noah and Robert were in jeopardy. Rumer was safe, Chris was safe, Patti and Riker were in jeopardy! Team YOLO danced to “Wipe Out!”  The team consisted of Nastia, Robert, Noah, and Willow.  The team dance was so fun and hopping!  The judges said, “Tight, energetic, and terrific!”  Team YOLO scored (3) 10’s and (1) 9 from Len, totalling 39!

Team Trouble was up next, dancing to “Trouble!”  The team consisted of Rumer, Patti, Chris, and Riker. They were the nerds, jocks, greasers, teachers, and cheerleaders in school on Spring Break!  It was so fun to watch this performance! I didn’t want it to end! Modern, fresh, tight, and so fun, were the judges comments! They were thrilled with a grand total of 39!  We had a tie!

We were left with Noah, Riker, Robert, and Patti in jeopardy. Patti was eliminated. She had an amazing applause and the crowd loved her! Patti was so thankful for the experience and never thought that she would go as far as she did!

We are all looking forward to next week. Now we are one week closer to finding out who will receive the mirror ball trophy! So until next week, dance like no one is watching!
