Cinderella Castle Cake - throwback thursday

Inspired by a photo of a completed 25th anniversary Cinderella Castle from Jimmy of the Disney Nerds Podcast that was shared on our Facebook group, I had to look for my own.

We visited Magic Kingdom in early 1996, as they were constructing the Castle Cake. It was extremely bizarre to see the castle halfway transformed. It definitely made for awkward family photos! It also makes you wonder, as we have witnessed current construction, would we ever see the castle in a half transformed state in this day and age? I believe that the castle would be behind scrims, or maybe even walls, as progress was being made.

I remember watching the newspapers for photos of the completed transformation, as social media was not a thing back then. If you did not visit Magic Kingdom during the celebration of cake, how do you recall seeing it for the first time? If you were lucky enough to have seen the castle, I would love for you to share your photos with us! Share in our Facebook Group or mention us on Twitter(@DisDrivenLife).
