Have you heard of the new movie, “Skyscraper,” with Dwayne Johnson? Do you need an on-the-edge-of-your-seat Friday the 13th kind of movie? Ashley was more than excited to see this thrilling, new adventure from Universal Pictures. Check out her review and tell us if this movie is on your summer must-see list!

Imagine an edge of your seat, action packed movie, set within the confines of a beautiful architectural masterpiece. That is definitely the best way to describe “Skyscraper”.  As is the usual experience when you go to see a movie that has Dwayne  Johnson(The Rock) in it, this is a movie that has a lot of explosions and amazing human feats that only he could ever seem to accomplish.

Dwayne’s character, Will Sawyer, is a family focused man, and that is his driving force through the entire movie. Nothing is too big of an obstacle for him in this movie and every scary step he takes could result in terrifying consequences.

“Skyscraper”  is a movie that keeps you on your toes because of the stakes involved. “Skyscraper” does a great job of making the actual monumental building as equal of a threat as the human threats in the movie. The best, all encompassing way to describe the movie is, “Die Hard” in a massive building. If you’re looking for a movie with a lot of action and you aren’t TOO afraid of heights, this is a great movie to go see!

Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.

Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, We’re the Millers), the 3D action-thriller is produced by Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Baywatch), Johnson, Thurber and Hiram Garcia (San Andreas, Central Intelligence).

Skyscraper’s executive producers are Dany Garcia (Baywatch, Ballers), Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas), Eric McLeod (Kong: Skull Island, Pirates of the Caribbean series) and Eric Hedayat (The Great Wall, Real Steel).
