It's a Secret

Welcome to THE CONFESSIONAL.  This is the place where you can divulge your deepest, darkest, most neurotic things you have done in times of Disney desperation.  Don’t be ashamed.  We’ve all had these moments.  Make yourself comfy in our confessional chair and tell us. What are the things you have done in order to get your Disney “fix”?

I admit that I am very excited about having a working vacation at WDW the week of Christmas 2010 (I am an aide to a gentleman who lives with cerebal palsy) 8(:-D

I only buy Huggies diapers and Huggies pull ups for my children because they have Disney characters on it. If we get a pack of another brand I either hide it, give it to a friend, or donate it.

I convinced my Hubby to go on a "Men's Get-a-way" in Miami so I could attend a "Mom's Weekend" in Orlando. Have a great time Honey, (under my breath - because I know I will!) you deserve to get-a-way, (under my breath - so I can deserve to go to Disney World... again... alone) I love you!

I just moved into my new apartment. It's the first piece of real estate I've ever owned myself! Last night I got a kind of neurotic idea. So I dug out a black sharpie and drew three small hidden mickeys in hard-to-find places on the walls. No one will know they are there but me!

One of our rituals is since we usually arrive around lunchtime and are DVC, we go to Olivia's at OKW for lunch and have a Cuban Sandwich and a Turtle Krawl. We actually think we helped bring this drink back to OKW because it went away fro a while and none of the bartenders knew how to make it. Finally we got one that had heard of it and they ended up calling someone else that used to work there and made us one, now its a regular board "special." We used to get their shrimp fritters to but they are gone 🙁

I got off of work only to come back an hour later to meet Len Testa, the co-author of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.

I just got home from a nice week at WDW. I had a blast! Also I went alone. When I go home the first thing I did was look at my Photo Pass and saw I had over 200 pictures. I spent the next three days editing them.

I am a guy in my early thirties. Nobody knows, but in my spare time, I hide away in a separate room and Google everything about Disney World I possibly can, just to pretend for a few hours that I'm there. I don't make a habit of watching Disney movies or cartoons, and they don't do much for me, but dreaming of being in Disney World is my only escape from the harshness of my reality. There's not much left to find that I don't already know, and there's not much left that is interesting in the forums, but I continue to do it to look at the pictures! Sometimes I spend entire nights reading trip reports from people I will never meet . . .

I am putting in requests so I can have the entire day off when it's time to book our DVC requests and ADRs for next year's trips! Do I need the whole day off? Nope..but I think it is deserved! =)

I had a Doctor's appointment at a VA Hospital on Friday; I also had one on the following Monday; it is a 4 hour drive to that Hospital; it is a 2 hour drive from the hospital to WDW - which is half the time it would take to return home on Friday ... SO. I convinced the DM (having indocrinated her properly, it took minimal arm twisting to convince her) that it was the idea time to go to WDW, since it would 'save me a lot of driving'. Thus we have a 3 night stay at WDW ...
