TRACI CURTH (blog manager)
Traci was born and raised in Ohio, but she has been visiting Walt Disney World since she was 18 months old. She has always had a special place in her heart for Disney, but Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and her favorite princess, Cinderella, take front and center stage. Throughout her childhood, Traci visited the Magic Kingdom for only one day every summer. It wasn’t until 2003 that she was able to finally stay “on property,” and now she visits at least once a year.
The love of Disney runs deep in Traci’s house. Her daughters are official NDKs, constantly look for Hidden Mickeys and show all the signs of maturing into devout Disneyphiles. Her husband is almost as Disney-obsessed as their girls. One day the family hopes to make the move south to be closer to the Mouse (and further from the cold, snowy winters in Ohio)
MARIA HANNON (social media director)
Maria was born in New York but moved to Florida at a very young age. She fell in love with Disney during the bicentennial year when her family made their first trip to Walt Disney World. From that point on her family made biannual trips to celebrate all important occasions such as birthdays and holidays, and these trips became something that Maria always looked forward to.
Maria’s transition to a Neurotic Disney Person didn’t originate at a specific point in time. Her obsessive behavior for incorporating the Disney brand into her lifestyle stems from her earliest memories of her Disney record collection, her Disney knick-knacks, her clothing choices and bedroom decor. To this day she continues to bring this brand into her everyday life as well as the lives of her husband and six children.
JACKIE GAILEY (community facilitator)
Jackie grew up in Washington State. She went to Disneyland once as a child when she was thirteen years old, but the passion for Disney did not ignite until she visited Disneyland in 2003 with her family and saw the park through the eyes of her own children. Because of this, Jackie became the “official” vacation planner for the family and immediately began planning the next trip.
In November of 2007, a big family discussion led to the decision to make the big adventure across the country to Walt Disney World. This venture would require extreme amounts of planning and decision making to the point where lots of research began happening. Thankfully, the Walt Disney World Moms Panel made its debut in January of 2008, making this task much easier. Jackie was in her glory scouring the internet for as much information as she could find to continue planning her family’s Disney vacations.
Just last summer, Jackie, her husband, and their two children moved across the country to Savannah, GA mostly due to her husband’s job but partly due to her obsession with the Mouse.
