Congratulations to Jim M., NDP #187, winner of the November riddle. Jim knew the two old men from The Muppet Show, Statler and Waldorf, are named after the Waldorf Astoria and The Statler, two New York City hotels. He also mentioned the fact that Waldorf’s wife is named Astoria. Very clever! Jim is the winner of a Disney Christmas ornament featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy.
Thanks to everyone who entered. Be sure to check out the December riddle for a chance to win a Disney key chain.

I love the Muppets. No, I mean, I really love the Muppets. I have seen the original Muppet Movie more times than I care to count. The Muppet Christmas Carol is probably my favorite holiday film. My children constantly demand to watch all three seasons of the Muppet Show on DVD, despite Sandy Duncan hosting. So when I say I was greatly anticipating Jason Segel’s take on The Muppets, that is possibly the biggest understatement I could make.

November is the month for Thanksgiving, family, football and The Muppets. That’s right. Our friends from the Muppet Show are returning in the Disney movie The Muppets. We will be reunited with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and the rest of the gang. Two of my favorite Muppets are Statler and Waldorf. I love their funny comments about the other characters. They’re one of my favorite parts of the Muppetvision 3D show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
