CONFESSIONAL

Welcome to THE CONFESSIONAL . This is the place where you can divulge your deepest, darkest, most neurotic things you have done in times of Disney desperation. Don’t be ashamed. We’ve all had these moments. Make yourself comfy in our confessional chair and tell us. What are the things you have done in order to get your Disney “fix”?

Last night my 4 year old kept saying he was tired. It was only 9, and I thought he was just winding down, so I kept on planning and checking the boards, chats and facebook. and he put himself to bed. It couldn't have been more than 10 minutes, and I noticed how quiet it was...there he was curled up on my bed, under a pillow sound asleep.
I didn' t wish him sweet dream or kiss him or anything, I'm a heel. I need to listen better.

After reading some of the other confessions, I think I belong here.
Whenever an occasion calls for it, I let out my best Goofy ya-hoo-hoo-hoey yodel.
I often force my husband to hook up our old VCR that I “borrowed” from my parents five years ago in order to play my old “Disney Classics” on VHS (the way they were meant to be played). There is something about the sound effect when the “Disney Classics” diamond-logo appears that just makes me all warm and fuzzy (as well as crave popcorn)! I will never get rid of these, no matter how much he begs. (Even though we have been together for 12 years, I am still working to convert him to a DH. It still seems to disturb him, though, that I know the words to all the songs and most of the lines in each movie.)
I also started planning our 2011 WDW trip in three years early in 2008. It’s still almost a year away, but I have already planned our daily itinerary based on old calendars. Everyday I pull up the itinerary and read through it, as well as look at photos of the resort where we will be staying. I also often watch WDW videos on youtube and other sites and get teary-eyed when watching (even when they aren’t meant to be sentimental). Hopefully this trip will help with my husband’s conversion.
I’m also trying to convince him to visit some of his family in southern California, under which pretext I can plan at least two Disneyland days.

we are leaving for Disney in two days for a week long trip (part of my hs grad present and my dads 50th bday present). we practically go every year. my sister and I can't wait so we play all of our disney cds to prepare. when we are really desperate though, we turn on aerosmith and pretend we are in line for Rockin Roller Coaster
