A funny thing happened to me when trying to retrieve my Disney dining reservations. I logged into my account at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ ,and when I went to the reservation page there was a note in big bright red letters stating that I didn’t have any dining reservations. I thought perhaps I hit a key by accident because I had not yet entered my reservation numbers.
I decided to log out and log back in. The same message appeared, but there were also instructions to enter the dining reservation confirmation and telephone number provided when the reservations were made. Well, my dining reservations were made by a travel agent so I didn’t know if the number used was the agency’s, my home number, cell, or office number.
I decided to try my home number. That didn’t work so I tried my cell number followed by my office number. Still nothing! I then entered my travel agents number but the same message kept popping up, “no dining reservations!” I was using hyphens, but thought maybe I need to use parenthesis for the area code. Same result, “no dining reservations!” Now I’m triple checking the reservation and phone numbers as I enter them. Once more, “no dining reservations!”
I’m calm but I start to visualize meals at unfavorable dining destinations. Then, as I was just about to e-mail my travel agent to get me out of this predicament I thought, try the phone numbers with out hyphens or parenthesis. At this point I figured I’ve tried everything else and you know what they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Again, my home number didn’t work but then jackpot! My cell number brought up my dining reservations.
After all that I felt relieved but, I also felt like a losing participant on the game show ‘Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader.’
