The D23 Expo 2011 website is up and running for all official information on the 2011 event spectacular. This fan celebration will take place August 19th- 22nd, 2011 in Anaheim, California. The 2009 Expo was a wild success and details about the 2011 event are slowly being announced. The 2011 festivities will include the following exciting events!
Disney Fan Art Contest Celebrating 101 Dalmatians – Open to any D23 member in good standing, Disney invites you to pull out your art supplies and get creative. How would you best honor the movie One Hundred and One Dalmatians as it celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary? From the Expo website: “Members must submit a sketch of their proposed work to the Walt Disney Archives no later than April 4, 2011. No more than three (3) sketches may be submitted per member. Work will be judged by a panel of creative executives. A select number of finalist artwork will be displayed in the Fan Art Gallery at D23 Expo.” Entry forms can be downloaded on the D23 Website
The Ultimate Disney Trivia Tournament – No corner of the magical kingdom will be left unturned as Professor Ludwig von Drake test your knowledge of all things Disney. Contestants should keep their eyes open for the Tournament Website which is scheduled to launch soon. The website will feature study material suggestions, practice questions and contest rules. Who do you think will be crowned champion?
