A new store has opened up in the Germany pavilion in Epcot called Karamell-Küche which means caramel kitchen in German. As you walk up to the shop, you can smell the sweet scents of treats in the air. I visited on opening day, and they were handing out samples of caramel corn that were delicious. It was so hard to choose with so many goodies to pick from. I tried the vanilla caramel cupcake ($3.95) and the caramel roll with marshmallow cream ($3.95). Both desserts had just the right balance of caramel and sweetness and were gone in minutes.
The shop consists of a large case of all different kinds of caramel desserts such as cupcakes, caramel corn, brownies, cookies, caramel/chocolate dipped apples and strawberries. Most of the treats under $4.00, and single serving sized snacks can be used as snack credits if you are on the dining plan. There is an open display kitchen in the back side of the store where you can watch Cast Members assemble these delectable treats, as well as shelves of items made by Storck, the creator of Werther’s Original candies that are only available at this location in Epcot.
