JeniLynn Knopp (234 Posts)

JeniLynn was born and raised in South Florida. Being so close to Walt Disney World, she grew up regularly visiting the Mouse and developed a fascination with the creativity of Disney Parks. Noticing that her happiest moments seemed to always take place in Walt Disney World, JeniLynn began trying to recreate the magic of Disney in her everyday life beginning in her pre-teen years. Adulthood, sixteen years of marriage, and three children later, JeniLynn continues to lead a Disney Driven Life and diligently works to pass her love for Disney on to her husband and children. She has blogged for Touring Plans and been a contributing writer for The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and she currently co-hosts Orlando Attractions Magazine: The Show; however, her primary focus has always been with the community that has grown around her own site, The Disney Driven Life. Through these venues JeniLynn strives to help other Disney fans stay connected to the brand that has served as a keystone in her family’s life.

The first DDL Academy Award Ceremony is fast approaching with only a few days left to cast your vote for your favorite nominees.  The staff of The Disney Driven Life as well as Team inner mouse have been diligently working to make Tuesday’s event (hosted by the live broadcast of inner mouse) entertaining, fun, and interactive, but we need your help.

Due to the obvious fact that we do not have a physical studio audience, the winners are unable to join us on screen to accept their awards.  However, half of the fun of giving an award is being able to see it received; therefore, we have an alternative to this minor obstacle.  We are requesting that all nominees do 2 things for us in preparation for the revealing of the awards:

1) Write the acceptance speech that you’ve always wanted to give as the rockstar that you know you really are.  Then please send it to  Should your name be called to receive the award you were nominated for, Scott will accept the award on your behalf and read your speech for our live, virtual, studio audience.  If you were nominated for more than one award and do not want the very same speech read in the chance that you receive multiple “nods,” then please send us the appropriate number of speeches and designate in the subject line the award each speech is to accompany.  We need these acceptance schpeals to be submitted no later than Dec. 13th in order to guarantee they will be read on the air.  Please keep the speeches to 1-2 minutes as air time is limited, and keep the language “family friendly” for the little ones that join us every week.

2) To kick it up a notch, we also want to be able to see your beautiful face and hear directly from you.  For this reason, we are requesting that you (or someone on behalf of your organization) film the delivery of an acceptance speech.  Get as creative as you choose for this clip, knowing that you can make it as long as 10 minutes if you choose.  We want to see you in all of your glory.  Again, keep the “family friendly” element in mind, but other than that feel free to express yourself as you choose.

You’ll need to upload this video to You Tube (contact Todd for assistance, or leave a comment below if you are unsure how to upload to You Tube).  From there we will embed the video on The DDL along with the results from the previous night’s reveal.  Please have your video uploaded to You Tube no later than Dec. 14th in order to guarantee its position in the DDL Academy Awards post that will follow the inner mouse broadcast.

We look forward to a fantastically amusing time.  Thank you in advance for being a good sport and doing your part to make this an event worthy of your attention and time.  You are and continue to be the breath of The Disney Driven Life.
