Hi, everyone! This month, I’m going to change things up a little. Instead of the Six Degrees of Disney Separation, this month’s DDL Riddle will be a simple Disney movie trivia question.
Since February is known for romance, this month’s Riddle will focus on a pair of famous sweethearts. Disney has many famous couples—Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel and Flynn. But did you know that there is a real-life Hollywood couple who first met on the set of a Disney movie in 1968, years before they became romantically involved? In fact, one of them was only 14 years old at the time. 25 years later, this couple (who has never married) started dating and they’re still together today. It must’ve been fate that brought them together through Disney. Who are these Disney stars, and on what movie did they meet? This month’s winner will receive a prize from Brenda Valdez at www.justminnie.com.
I stumped you all last month! No one was able to link Ol Yeller with Bolt. Here’s how I did it:
Ol Yeller starred Tommy Kirk, who also starred in the original The Shaggy Dog with Fred MacMurray.
Fred MacMurray starred in Follow Me, Boys! with a young Kurt Russell.
Kurt Russell starred in Sky High with Kelly Preston.
Kelly Preston also starred in Old Dogs with her husband, John Travolta, who provided the voice of Bolt.

Contributed by: Sherri Jeffries (NDM#237) Sherri is the DDL Riddler.
Sherri grew up in Beckley, West Virginia watching “Wonderful World of Disney” every Sunday night. She studied art at West Virginia University, which led to an appreciation of Walt Disney’s genius as an artist. Later, she and Mark, NDD#102, met and married and only afterwards realized that they were both huge fans of the Disney brand. Since discovering that they are “Disney people” Sherri and her husband have made yearly trips to Walt Disney World, while raising their three children to believe that wishes can come true. While at work, she enjoys being referred to as the “Disney guru.”
Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn?
