Karen was born in Massachusetts and primarily grew up there with a few pit stops along the way. Her first trip to Walt Disney World did not occur until she was 14 years old when she went with her family to the Polynesian Resort. It was not until years later when she returned with her children and husband (for their first trip) that the real obsession began. Returning to the lobby of the Polynesian brought back all the memories she had forgotten, and ignited a Disney passion in her family's life. Karen currently guest blogs for The Disney Driven Life as their wedding expert and is co-founder of her blog, The Best Friends Guide To.

With the newest addition to the Disney fleet you may be thinking about taking the cruise of a lifetime for your upcoming honeymoon. Book separately or, of course, if you choose to get married at WDW, then just add the cruise to the end and you’re ready to go!

There are tons of places for honeymooners to go on the cruise ships where they can have “kid free” time, and I have even heard from several people who did a honeymoon aboard. They rarely even saw children. Disney does go out of their way to cater to every type of vacationer, and here are a few extras you can add to your cruise package to make it just that much more special.

Disney cruises offer dozens of gift and package deals  that you don’t need to be a honeymooner to book  , but if the glass slipper fits… For about $215 per couple, the “All You Can Dream” package comes with a waterproof blanket, picnic case, plates, napkins, cutlery, a cheese board, a bottle opener and robes. You can add Champagne, a fruit and cheese platter, and fresh flowers for $91 more.  Try the “Romantic Encounter” package which will give you 2 robes, champagne, and chocolates for an additional $99 . Be sure to get your “newlywed” pins and wear them all around since no trip is complete without them!  There are loads of other extras to choose from, and you can customize them to your liking. Check out the honeymoon registry discussed in one of my previous wedding posts to plan it all out step by step.
