“Drip, drip, drop little April shower. . .” Two of my favorite holidays occur in April—Earth Day and Easter. Walt Disney was a great nature-lover and strong advocate for conservation. His dedication shows in his Academy Award-winning True Life Adventures series. If you haven’t seen these classics, I urge you to do so. Disney has returned to finding drama in nature recently with its Disneynature series. Earth and Oceans are two of our family’s favorite Disney movies and we’re eager to see African Cats when it opens this Earth Day, April 22.
The Easter Bunny will also be hopping into town soon. Disney’s had its share of famous rabbits. There was the aptly-named Rabbit from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Alice in Wonderland features two rabbits—the White Rabbit and the March Hare. But in my opinion, the cutest of the Disney bunnies is Thumper from Bambi. When he thumps his foot and looks up with his big eyes, I get “twitter-pated.”
Did you know that a live-action Bambi also made a brief appearance in a Disney True Life Fantasy? For April’s Disney Driven Riddle, name this feature. This month’s winner will receive an Inner Mouse window cling and a pack of Disney Character Bandz. Submit your answer to ddlriddle@thedisneydrivenlife.com by midnight, April 30th. Best of luck to you all!

Sherri grew up in Beckley, West Virginia watching “Wonderful World of Disney” every Sunday night. She studied art at West Virginia University, which led to an appreciation of Walt Disney’s genius as an artist. Later, she and Mark, NDD#102, met and married and only afterwards realized that they were both huge fans of the Disney brand. Since discovering that they are “Disney people” Sherri and her husband have made yearly trips to Walt Disney World, while raising their three children to believe that wishes can come true. While at work, she enjoys being referred to as the “Disney guru.”
