As if the world was not excited enough by the arrival of Star Tours II on May 20th, Disney had to go and make this attraction even more interactive and fun for us at home waiting patiently for our Galactic journeys to begin! Introducing StarToursPassport.com! This website allows you to make your own intergalactic passport with your photo and information and use it for your travels on Star Tours.
The process is only a few simple steps. You first go to the site and decide if you want to be a jedi, queen, rebel pilot, or pod racer. Don’t worry if you’re not sure, there will be a chance to change your choice later on. The next step is to choose a photo of yourself to use for the passport. After you have chosen your picture, you size it and rotate it to fit into the style you chose. After you are sure about your style and fit your face in perfectly, it’s time to fill in the rest of your information for the passport: your name, hometown, and age. Once this is all filled in, you click submit and you have your official intergalactic passport!
You are able to post your passport on Facebook. You can also print your passport and make it a physical book to take with you into the park. Once you have ridden the new attraction, you can take your passport to a cast member working the attraction and get it stamped!
I think my favorite part of this, besides the creativity and the fact that it is Star Wars, is that you are able to take it with you and interact with it and a cast member in the park! I think this is very exciting, and, if you are heading down after the opening of this new attraction, I highly suggest you make a passport and take it with you!
