May is National Bar-B-Que Month! I absolutely love barbecue and one of my favorite places to get it is Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue in Disneyland. It is an awesome place for teens to eat. Teenage girls will love the cute cowboys, and teenage boys will be able to eat as much as they want!

The carefree atmosphere is a wonderful break from a busy day in the park (not that I have anything against those).  The moment you step through the gates you can just feel the pressure rolling off. You can just eat, relax, and listen to Sarsaparilla Sam at the piano. A strolling guitar player sings songs, some of them about guests! Miss Chris and the hilarious Tex also make appearances. Usually they sing and talk to guests. Often they sing happy birthday to everyone who has a birthday.  There’s a lot of fun guest interaction.

I’ve always had great experiences with the food. The meal is served family-style and includes barbecue chicken, smoked sausages, ribs, cole slaw, baked beans, and cornbread. If you are a vegetarian, you can get a barbecue skewer that has potatoes, squash, bell peppers, mushrooms, and tofu. Dessert is an additional cost, but you can get cupcakes, cobblers, strawberry shortcake, pies, or a giant cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

I highly recommend Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue for its peaceful atmosphere and tasty food. Overall, it’s a fun, simple, wholesome–and don’t forget delicious!–experience. To make dining reservations for Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue just call (714) 781-DINE. So everyone grab a roll of paper towels and some moist towelettes, and enjoy National Bar-B-Que Month!
