Giving the Gift of Stock

As some of you know I was blessed with a healthy nephew this past November. With Christmas around the corner, I wanted to get him something that would be different. He would be growing out of clothes like crazy and not too much he could do with toys at a month old. His routine is mostly eat, sleep, and poop. I wanted his gift to have a Disney theme of course. You are never too young to be introduced to Disney.
I remembered there was a website called www.oneshare.com that specializes in selling one share of stock and framing them for gift giving. Of course I chose for my nephew to own a share of Disney. The current price of the stock is listed and a certification fee is charged as well. The next step was picking out a frame and matte. I went with the black lacquer frame and plain matte. I wanted to have custom engraving and used a quote suggested by the site and added the last line. Due to my nephew being a child, I placed myself as the guardian. Oneshare.com also offers the OneShare Start-Up Kit. When you give OneShare as a gift, the Start-Up Kit is free with the order. Per the website “The Kit includes a shiny red Congratulations Card (which includes a personalized greeting from you!); the Quick Reference Guide (a fun timeline that lets new shareholders know what to expect); and the Owner’s Manual, a full-color, twenty page guide to the care and maintenance of their new stock.”
I was lucky enough to have ordered the stock in time to arrive for Christmas. His parents, my sister and brother-in-law, were surprised at the gift. I told them I want my nephew to do better than me and what better way than to start his investments early.
