gary tweets

What in the world do these photos from Gary Buchanan’s tweets have to do with the Mom’s Panel? And rice? Somehow, the rice clue from the very beginning intertwines with these.

As if we weren’t crazy enough waiting for that ever anticipated R2 announcement day that is coming SOON! All of a sudden, we are into week 4 of the waiting room. October 1st is tomorrow! Gary has mentioned that we are still looking at close to two more weeks in the waiting room. But, in a fashion that we veteran applicants are not used to, he has promised to notify us, as soon as he is certain, of approximately WHEN we will find out! Days of stalking twitter for some sort of pixie dusted anything are over. Now we stalk twitter for Gary’s latest creative clue to keep our minds busy while passing the time.

I am really enjoying these fun clues. While I really have no idea how ’71 and rice go together, I do know that Magic Kingdom has THE best rice crispie treats. It’s fun to be on this journey and have these little clues to admire along the way. They are definitely worth taking a moment from your day to enjoy. It’s like what one of my favorite songs from 1971 (such a glorious year) talks about:

How pleasant, bobbing along
Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What a chance to get a better peep
At the plants and creatures of the deep

This wonderful song from one of my favorite live-action/animated feature films, “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” talks about enjoying the little things in life that you may not notice. Enjoy this ride, folks. Go ahead – sing along. The words are under the video.

*Unfortunately, the official Disney video clip labeled “Beautiful Briny Sea” was in fact “Substitutiary Locomotion.” This was the only other video I could find. The quality is not the best*

Disney’s Sing Along Songs: You Can Fly part 2… by f100003797327348

How pleasant, bobbing along
Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What a chance to get a better peep
At the plants and creatures of the deep

We glide
Far below the rolling tide
Serene
Through the bubbly blue and green

It’s lovely, bobbing along
Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What if the octopus
The flounder and the cod
Think we’re rather odd
It’s fun to promenade
Bobbing along, sing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea

Look!

It’s lovely, bobbing along
Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What a chance to get a better peep
At the plants and creatures of the deep

It’s grand
When you’re dancing on the sand
Each glance
Bubbles over with romance

It’s lovely, bobbing along
Bobbing along through the water where we get along swimmingly
Far from the frenzy
Of the frantic world above
Two beneath the blue
Could even fall in love
Bobbing along, singing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
Bobbing along, singing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny,
Shimmering shiny, beautiful briny.
