Traditions – they are what make your holidays and events special. Adding Disney to those traditions can make your holidays even more magical. Even if you have a tradition that has been passed down for generations, it’s never too late to add a few new fun ones! This month, we will highlight some of our personal family traditions that show off our Disney side. Want to share yours as well? MIckey Advent Wreath - Holiday Traditions

It is hard to believe it is December and the Holiday season is upon us already!

For the past few years we have been fortunate enough to travel to Walt Disney World in the late fall and for us that is the beginning of our Holiday season. Activities from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights to the Candlelight Processional all put us in a festive Holiday mood!

Now that we are home and have settled back into our schedule, we still like to add Disney touches to our Christmas celebrations.

A number of years ago we bought a Mickey advent wreath at Epcot. Every day in December, my girls take turns fastening the decorations to the wreath. We add other Disney touches to our decorating by using the many Christmas tree ornaments we have collected over the years.

We also watch Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Prep and Landing, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Disney’s Sing Along Songs – Very Merry Christmas Songs many times throughout the Holiday season.

For us the Christmas season culminates in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. It is so much fun to see all of the characters and performers from both coasts enjoying the festivities. We are so excited this year to see what is in store for the parade as it adds my daughter’s favorite characters and becomes the Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration.

Best Wishes for a Joyous Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
