PARTY LIKE IT’S THE EARLY 2000s DURING ABC FAMILY’S END-OF-THE-YEAR PROGRAMMING EVENT “THAT’S SO THROWBACK”
“That’s So Throwback” Will Feature Disney Channel Classic Sitcoms and Original Movies
Burbank, CA (December 22, 2014) – ABC Family says goodbye to 2014 with its “That’s So Throwback” programming block, featuring Disney Channel classic comedy series “Lizzie McGuire,” “That’s So Raven,” “Even Stevens,” and original movies “The Cheetah Girls” and “Halloweentown.” “That’s So Throwback” airs Monday, December 29th, 2014 through Friday, January 2nd, 2015, from midnight to 2AM ET/PT.
There is no better time for nostalgia than the end of the year, so why not spend those late nights catching up on the favorite shows of your tween years? Life was simpler when all you had to worry about was whether or not Lizzie was actually going to find Aaron Carter, if Luis beats those mean school bullies at their own game, or if The Cheetah Girls will get their record deal. So instead of reminiscing about your Disney Channel friends or going online to watch clips, hang out with ABC Family and watch the real thing instead.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, December 29th, 2014
- (12:00 AM–2AM ET/PT) LIZZY MCGUIRE BLOCK
(12:00 AM – 12:30AM) “Picture Day” Class pictures are to be taken and Lizzie (Hillary Duff) has nothing to wear! Her mother insists she wear the cute red unicorn sweater her grandmother knit for her. (12:30 AM – 1AM) “Here Comes Aaron Carter” Lizzie, Miranda (Lalaine) and Gordo (Adam Lamberg) embark on a quest to find Aaron Carter, who is shooting his Christmas music video in town. After many close encounters with a security guard, the group is asked to appear in the video.
(1:00 AM – 1:30 AM ) “Lizzie and Kate’s Excellent Adventure” Lizzie and Kate (Ashlie Brillault) are assigned as partners for a school project. Much to the grief of their friends, Kate and Lizzie enjoy working together, recalling the days when they were great friends. Meanwhile, Matt convinces people that he is psychic.
(1:30 AM – 2:00 AM ) “Lizzie’s Eleven” Lizzie’s efforts to get eleven of her pictures in the yearbook are nixed when the editor uses her powers to remove them from the final layout. Lizzie plans a heist that involves breaking into the yearbook office on the school’s “Monte Carlo Nite.”

(12:30 AM – 1:00AM) “Almost Perfect” Ren (Christy Carlson Romano) and the rest of the school are stunned by the possibility that perfect Ren might get a “C” in, of all things, SHOP CLASS! Luis turns the janitor’s closet into a happening party spot.
(1:00 AM – 1:30AM) “Influenza: The Musical” Ren is sick and Eileen (Donna Pescow) makes her stay home from school. Afraid she won’t receive perfect attendance, Ren sneaks off to school. However, she forgot about a science project due that day. Louis dreads Coach Tugnut’s obstacle challenge.
(1:00 AM – 1:30AM) “Band on the Roof” Tom Gribalski (Fred Meyers) produces a “rock-u-mentary” on the Twitty Stevens Connection, through which we see the rise, fall, and rebirth of the classic Sacramento.

(12:00 AM–2:00 AM ET/PT) CHEETAH GIRLS
Set in Manhattan, “The Cheetah Girls” tells the story of four multi-talented teens from dissimilar homes and economic backgrounds — a cultural melting pot of Black, Italian, Dominican, Puerto Rican and Cuban heritages — with a dream to take the world by storm with their music group. Galleria (Raven-Symone), Chanel (Adrienne Bailon), Aqua (Kiely Williams) and Dorinda (Sabrina Bryan) are The Cheetah Girls, with their own hip, playful “slanguage” and a credo that suggests all Cheetah Girls are created equal, but not alike. The Cheetah Girls enter their school talent contest spearheaded by faculty adviser Drinka Champagne (Sandra Caldwell), an erstwhile ‘70s disco queen turned drama teacher. But tension mounts and The Cheetah Girls start to unravel after blind ambition gets the best of Galleria. In between pursuing their big dream of getting a record deal, the dynamic, strong-minded foursome navigates their young world of “cheetah-licious” fashion and boys, including Galleria’s occasional nemesis Derek (Kyle Schmid). All the while, Galleria resists taking advice from her protective mother Dorothea (Lynne Whitfield), a former model who wants to shield the girls from exploitation and disappointment; Chanel wonders if her single mom is more interested in dating than parenting; and Dorinda struggles with the secret shame not even her trusted Cheetah sisters know she carries – she has spent her entire life in foster care. “The Cheetah Girls” is based on the best-selling book series by journalist-turned-author Deborah Gregory and is executive-produced by Debra Martin Chase and Whitney Houston.

(12:00 AM–2:00 AM ET/PT) HALLOWEENTOWN
“Halloweentown” stars the legendary Debbie Reynolds as Aggie Cromwell, an eccentric and highspirited witch who travels from her spooky and wonderful hometown, Halloweentown, to the mortal world to enlist the help of her daughter Gwen (Judith Hoag) and her grandchildren Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown), Dylan (Joey Zimmerman) and Sophie (Emily Roeske) in her mission to save Halloweentown from the sinister forces of evil which threaten to take it over. When Aggie Cromwell visits her daughter’s family on October 31, it is for one reason only – to garner the help of Gwen and her children in saving Aggie’s hometown from imminent destruction by a force of evil that threatens its very existence. But Gwen has been raising her three children in the mortal world and has no intention of exposing them to life among the witches, warlocks and other offbeat creatures of Halloweentown. However, when thirteen yearold Marnie, her younger brother Dylan and their four-yearold sister Sophie hitch a ride on a bus to Halloweentown, the fun begins as the young trio enters a spooky and wonderful world of colorful creatures, exciting new powers and unpredictable adventure. Soon, Gwen follows her children to Halloweentown, and the entire family gets caught up in a fastpaced struggle between good and evil in order to help Grandma Aggie save her beloved home.
