disney side party

I am so excited! Yesterday I received the email that I have been waiting for. I was chosen to host a Disney Side @ Home Celebration Party! You may recall last year I hosted a Disney Side party as well, with a d.i.y. Disney theme. While I am unsure of what theme I will use for this year’s party, ideas are running a Dopey marathon in my head right now!

How does one start to plan a Disney party without a theme? It can be tricky. Especially when you are as O.C.D. as I am. But there are things that you can start to plan for before your theme emerges. Food, for example, is an easy start. There are so many fun Disney recipes out there that involve Mickey Mouse shaped foods or fun copy-cat recipes from the parks. What party that serves Mickey shaped, chocolate-covered Rice Krispie treats isn’t a hit?

Pinterest is a huge help. I am guilty of falling into that rabbit hole every time we have a holiday/party/function to host. Luckily, many other Disney bloggers are also in the same spot I am (no theme chosen yet), and they are also on Pinterest, sharing all of their magical ideas as well.

In addition to the party, I will have ideas to share with you. Wouldn’t it be fun for everyone to throw a Disney Side party? I will post lots of pictures, so be sure to follow on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I may even get brave enough to make a YouTube video. Stay tuned.

If you were hosting a Disney Side party, what theme would you choose?
