Gina Simpson started Simpsony to help provide a creative outlet for herself and hopefully provide a little extra income to fund her and her husband’s efforts to home school their three children. Isaac is seven, Abigail is six, and Indiana is four. These three provide lots of Disney inspiration for Simpsony items. The movie Frozen holds a special memory, as it was the first movie the children ever saw in the theater. The soundtrack was downloaded soon thereafter and Let it Go was played multiple times a day. This movie was the inspiration behind the shadow box that is being given away this month.
Simpsony’s latest series of shadow boxes and canvas work center around the princess theme, for which Disney is well known. Princesses inspire romance, adventure, love, and courage and these are all embodied in the series. Be sure to come visit our Facebook page and Etsy shop to see some of our work and to request custom pieces!
And now for the riddle…...
The magical month of March! Weather that resembles a lion or a lamb, March Madness for the college basketball fans and a day dedicated to the Irish. Walt Disney’s Darby O’Gill and the Little People is a delightful movie about Leprechauns and a pot of gold. But, there is another movie, Walt Disney’s The Gnome-Mobile, that tells the adventures of some other little people, the gnomes. The two children who star in the movie are Karen Dotrice and Matthew Garber. The riddle this month focuses on these two children. Can you name another super Walt Disney movie starring these two children together again?
