This past weekend we all enjoyed watching “Cinderella” and as Cinderella entered the Ball everyone in the audience could dream about what that moment would be like!   That is the feeling that I feel when a New Season of Dancing with the Stars starts!  There are so many “Cinderella” moments in every shows!  So with that said, “Let the Dancing Begin”!

dancing with the stars - DWTSThe show opened with all of the professional dancers in their 10 year Anniversary opening dance dazzling in gold and black attire.  All 12 were welcomed to the dance floor and first up was Willow Shields from the Hunger Games Series.   At 14, this girl danced with Mark to the Cha Cha full of amazing personality and sass!  She received a total score of 25 with Bruno giving her the highest score of 7!  She will be fun to watch!

Next up was Robert Herjavec from Shark Tank with Kym dancing the Cha Cha!  Wow!  Awesome energy, all Smiles, and having a blast! Len was shocked and that speaks volumes to his performance!  The total scores were 28!

Ricker Lynch is cousin to the famous Hough brother and sister.  Ricker, dancing the Jive with Allison, showed that dancing runs in his genes!  Bruno compared him to Billy Idol!  He may show his #disneyside through his music but he can also show his #disneyside in his moves!  With a grand total of 31, Ricker rocked the ballroom!

We had Charlotte McKinney in a beautiful cornflower blue feather costume that could NOT be missed!  Charlotte danced the Jive with Keo and let’s just say she can “Shake a Tail Feather”!  Len was not her favorite fan, but for some reason I think she might get The Most Popular Score from her fans!  They racked up a grand total of 22.

Grammy Winner Patti Labelle danced the Fox Trot with Artem.  With all of her eloquent grace she received a standing ovation!  Elegance and poise was the common thread through all the judges comments!  She felt so overjoyed to rock 70 with a total score of 25, with boos from the audience!

We found out some exciting news!  We will have a Disney Week at the halfway point!   Yeah! #disneyside is a MUST DO!

Chris Soules danced the Jive with Whitney, no not Bachelorette Whitney!  The tale of 2 Whitneys may be interesting!   I think all the country boys feel the need to dance in the back of a pickup truck to Footloose and Chris is no different!   Charisma while lacking polish was the overall judges feelings.  They received an overall score of 26.  Hey, not to shabby!

Football player Michael Sam danced the Cha Cha with Peta.  Michael received a standing ovation for his performance or for shaking everything!  Flip a coin!  In purple and black they were a couple not to be missed!  Their overall score of 26 was received well.

2008 Gold Gymnast Winner Nastia Liuki and Derek danced the Fox Trot in a Broadway style production!  Len called it sweet and delicious like the Big Apple!  Their Big Broadway style gave them a total score of 30.

Up next is REDFOO with Emma dancing the Cha Cha.  He may have been a judge on DWTS in the past but he is in uncharted territory now!  I think he had a blast dancing and everyone was entertained by his unique technique!   Lol!   I can’t wait to see his #disneyside!  While all the boos were coming, the grand total of 22 was announced. I think his fans will carry him for a few weeks!

Noah Galloway danced the Cha Cha with Sharna to “I did it All”!  Awesome song and very fitting!   Beautiful and graceful in my opinion but my opinions are just mine, so on to the judging.  This duo received a score of 26.  I believe that they received the longest standing ovation with tears!

With 2 routines left, I always think, where did the time go?  The performances during the commercial breaks makes me want a ticket even more!  These dancers are amazing and it looks so fun!  So how can this #disneyside mom get on DWTS?  I guess vicariously through the DWTS season experience!   OK enough of that!  On with the show!

Come and knock on my door,  Oops sorry!  It’s Suzanne Somers dancing the Cha Cha with Tony!  This couple got “Physical ” on the dance floor with their thigh masters!  Scores were a grand total of 25.

Rumer Willis which is Bruce Willis daughter danced the Fox Trot with Val!  Wow!  This dance was beautiful!   Just WOW!  They were completely amazing!   I could have watched them ALL NIGHT!  Called “the dance of the night” by Len!  Ending the night, they scored the best score of the night with a 32!

This will be an amazing season!   So many great dancers day one!  So stay tuned!  Next week, same time same place!   Until then, Dance like No one is Watching!
