dancing-with-the-stars dwtsThis has been an amazing 10 year anniversary for Dancing with the Stars! The show has come so far over the last ten years! Last night was America’s Choice Night, and it did not disappoint!

Noah started off with the Argentine Tango. America choose the dance, song (“Geronimo” by Sheppard), and color (white) for the costumes. Noah came out with sharp and smooth movements. Len and Julianne said it “lacked intensity,” Bruno and Carrie Ann saw elegance in the performance. They scored a 31 and told us that the trio will have a first-time ever lift!

Chris was up next with a Contemporary dance. Wow! They truly told a story with their dance and the lift was amazing!   Everyone said that he wins “most improved” for the season.  They scored a 31 and Chris gave us a “Yippee!”

Riker was dancing a Viennese Waltz. With the pressure on after the 10 from Len last week, Riker flowed with such intensity and grace on the dance floor! I was so curious how the judges felt. Everyone loved it, except Len, but they ended the dance with a score of 39. They told us that we were getting a party for their trio dance.

Robert was given a Contemporary dance to Jesse Ware’s “Champagne Kisses.”  I loved the idea of Robert performing a Contemporary dance! I noticed Robert being a little to aware of his steps, but then fluidity took over. The judges loved Robert and they said that he “upped his game!” They gave this dance a total of 33, after Robert tried to kiss Erin.

Nastia was up next with the Paso Doble to “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy.  America wanted gladiator costumes. Nastia was powerful and dominant in that dance!  Wow! The judges were not as impressed at I was. They left the dance floor with a strong 36 from (4) 9’s.

Rumer was ready to dance to a classic Rumba to “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” by Doris Day. Rumer was 200% into this Rumba! With another “Wow” from me, the judges agreed! Len was even thrilled! I suspected all 10’s and I was right! This was the first perfect score of the season!

The trio rounds were next. I love group and trio dances. They always have so many more elements thrown into the performance! Yeah, so on with the dancing!

Noah and Sharna picked Emma.  I was so excited about the lift! They did a great job and were very happy and energetic! Bruno slapped himself right out of his chair with his excitement!   Lol! Awesome! Mr I’m Possible” scored a 32, with a total score of 63 for the night.

Next up was Chris and Whitney, and they chose Lindsay. I was hoping for a little more dramatic expression and control. The judges were not impressed and were disappointed. I completely agreed with the judges, and they scored 30 points, totaling 64 for the night.

Riker and Allison chose to dance with Brittany.  I was anticipating the party on the dance floor! Riker was in control of his party!  The judges were saying, “catch him if you can,” “hammered it,” “we’re all happy,” and “you lead it!”  Oh yes, Riker definitely rocked it!  As we wondered if we were fixing to have our 2nd perfect score of the night, Len stopped that. With a total of 39 for their trio performance, they totaled 78 for the night.

Robert and Kym picked Jenna to dance with them. With tons of energy and jazz in the performance, the judges were entertained, but not impressed.  I hate it, but I agreed with the total. They received a 29, with a total of 62 for the night.

Nastia and Derek picked Sasha to perform their trio. Nastia was hopping with amazing foot work! I was wowed!  The judges were wowed also!  Len even stood up to tell Nastia how amazing that she was. You did a great and amazing job Nastia! Would she receive a perfect score?  Yes!  Nastia received the 2nd perfect score of the night, totaling a 76.

Rumer and Val ended the evening. They chose Artem to dance with them. Rumer transported us to another country with her artistry. The dance was truly from her core and the judges could see her superior performance!  She scored the 1st and 3rd perfect score of the season with a perfect score of 80!

Tonight will be a double elimination. I can just imagine the anxiety that all of the dancers must be feeling! Don’t miss it tonight! There will be several special guests, such as Carly Rae Jepsen. Until then, dance like no one is watching!
