Story time is always a favorite in this Neurotic Disney home. NDK (Neurotic Disney Kid) is old enough to read, but not too old to still be read to! Books are wonderful on so many levels. We keep them everywhere – even in the car! Disney Books are a great way to keep Disney at home. Disney Book Group was kind enough to send these books for NDK approval – be sure to look for the NDK Review after the description of each book!

From the publisher:
Meet Kanan–the rebels’ leader and a skilled Jedi. Kanan has never taught anyone else in the ways of the Force. But after meeting a promising young boy named Ezra, Kanan decides to train him as a new Jedi. This Level 2 early reader follows Kanan and Ezra as they learn what it means to be a Jedi, together.
The NDK Review: This is a level 2 book. There are more sentences in the level 2 books. They are still easy to read, there is just more to read. I enjoyed this book. Kanan is training Ezra to be a Jedi. This book is really cool.
From the publisher:

During a game of hide-and-seek, Stuffy finds an adorable rollie toy named Squibbles. Squibbles follows Stuffy everywhere -around the park, in the clinic, and, worst of all, in all of Stuffy’s awesome hiding places! Everyone thinks Squibbles is adorable, but Stuffy thinks the little fuzzball is a huge pest! It’s up to Doc and Stuffy to find Squibble’s owner, but after spending time with the fun little toy, will Stuffy be able to give him up? Join Doc and her toys in their adventures in this special hardcover storybook with colorful illustrations.
The NDK Review: I love, love, love this book. This book is about the new episode, Doc McStuffins Pet Vet! I love these books becasue they feel so special. The words on the side(binding) are in gold. Disney Junior is written in shiny red, which really makes it pretty. This story is about when Doc and her stuffed animals are playing hide and go seek at the park. Stuffy gets scared when a toy jumps on his tail. Stuffy thought it was a spider, but when they looked, it was a stuffed cutie patootie! They named it Squibbles and tried so hard to find it’s owner. This was a great adventure! You will have to get the book and find out what happens before the show is on TV!
I am a huge fan of the 5-Minute story collections! You cannot go wrong with a book that features 12 stories AND can be read in 5 minutes!
From the publisher:
Join Anna and Elsa as they discover a mysterious mountain monster, have a royal sleepover, babysit the trolls, and more! With 12 Frozen stories that can each be read in 5 minutes, this padded storybook is the perfect fit for bedtime, storytime, or anytime!
The NDK Review: I love this book. I also love Frozen. 5-Minute stories always mean I can read just one more story with my mom before bed! My favorite story was “The Frozen Monster.” But I really liked them all. I like to read about new adventures that Anna and Elsa have!
The Star Wars Saga series continues with The Battle to the End! This exciting series has captivated NDK. It is definitely a book for a child ready to read chapter books. The book is not lacking color. Colorful splashes and a few images are scattered throughout the book, keeping it exciting for young chapter readers that are not yet ready for full, non-picture books.
From the publisher:
When Kanan is captured by the Empire, Ezra, Sabine, and the rest of the Ghost crew must work together to save their friend. But what how can their rag-tag team hope to stand up to the might of Agent Kallus, the Inquisitor, and Grand Moff Tarkin? The rebels are in for their most daring adventure yet!
The NDK Review: This book is just like watching an episode of Star Wars Rebels. This is a chapter book. There are a few pictures in the book, but not full pictures. Just a few images. I know that anyone that likes Star Wars would like this book, especially my dad! There are battles and many exciting adventures! This is a book for someone my age or older (7 years old).
