Letty has loved all things Disney since she was child. Her first visit to the world was back in 1978. Since then she has returned as a spring break college student; as a young woman traveling with her boyfriend (now husband); and her last visit as a wife and mother of twin girls. Every trip was magical. Keeping her Disney fix between visits, she immerses herself researching all she can about the Disney Company. She reads about resort operations, movie profits, cruise lines, theatrical productions, merchandise, and global operations. She looks forward to sharing her research about this company that has created magic for generations.

I’ve come across something wonderful in my Facebook feed. The community is called Humans of Disney. I encourage you to like them. It was launched in July. There is barely a description about what they are about. It seems the community purpose  is to share pictures of your joyful moments from Disney magic. This is a feel good site. With so much darkness on the news here is a community that celebrates the brilliance of what Disney does best: bringing a little magic into our lives.

I have enjoyed reading posts about engagements in front of the castle; a Mariachi band playing to a wheelchair bound girl; family reunions; a castmember making water art; honeymooners at Epcot; a birthday makeover.

There is a reason why Disney attracts millions of visitors to its parks every year. That reason is to experience magic. Where else are you going to share an experience with your family, your friends that joy over adversity, that escape from reality? This site provides proof through pictures and posts that magic is alive and well at  Disney park.

No naysayers allowed. This is not the place to complain about heat and crowds. There are plenty of places for those comments. Here is a community that radiates good karma. We Neurotic Disney People know what Disney does to us. I’m a fan not just of the parks and movies. I’m a fan of the Disney ability to grant a wish to a child. I’m a fan of the way Disney brings out the child in all of us.
