Story time is always a favorite in this Neurotic Disney home. NDK (Neurotic Disney Kid) is old enough to read, but not too old to still be read to! Books are wonderful on so many levels. We keep them everywhere – even in the car! Disney Books are a great way to keep Disney at home. Disney Book Group was kind enough to send these books for NDK approval – be sure to look for the NDK Review after the description of each book!
Back to school is here! Extra curricular activities are gearing up, which can make reading time hard to squeeze in. This great book from Disney Books, an original series based on Star Wars Rebels, is sure to keep your extra busy after-school Disney kid happily reading!
In a new chapter of the series of stories, the “Servants of the Empire” will give your older readers a more in-depth look at characters. Not based on an episode, this book takes you beyond the story you see on the show. This particular story continues to follow the life of Zare Leonis.
From the back of the book:
The Servants of the Empire series continues! As a new student at Lothal’s Imperial Academy, Zare Leonis does everything it takes to pass as a model cadet. But, secretly he is a hidden spy among Imperial loyalists, determined to discover the truth about his missing sister and to bring down the Empire. Luckily, he has his tech-savvy girlfriend, Merei, by his side, willing to help him however she can–even if it means dealing with criminals in the shadiest parts of Capital City. In the meantime, Zare must face down a dangerous foe of his own: Captain Roddance, who seems bent on pushing Zare to his breaking point. Join these rebellious cadets as they risk everything to take on the fearsome Empire.
This book, in an original series, gives readers an insider’s look into a different part of the world of Star Wars Rebels.
The NDK Review: This book is definitely for someone older who likes to read. There weren’t any pictures, but it is a real chapter book. Zare’s story is getting more exciting! I hope he finds out what happened to his sister.
