It’s no secret. We love Wonder Forge games. When given the opportunity to review two new Star Wars games released for Force Friday, we jumped at the chance! I am happy to share Star Wars: The Force Awakens™ Star Destroyer Strike Game and Star Wars: The Force Awakens™ – Galaxy Hunt Game!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens™ Star Destroyer Strike Game was featured in a previous post and giveaway on Force Friday, so you might remember seeing that. I can definitely say that this game should find a spot on your game shelf! As Wonder Forge typically does, this game is off the board – literally! The game is played on a track, with a Star Destroyer timer in the center. In a race against the Destroyer, you must get at least one of your heroes to safety!

This game is a fast paced game, so no need to worry about short attention spans! The timer is random, and will “shoot” a green laser, or “strike” a hero! The heroes are Chewbacca, Finn, Rey and Poe. This kept everyone on the edge of their seats, not knowing who would be “struck.”

Game details:

Strategy and suspense collide in this exciting escape game! Advance your Resistance heroes toward safety, but move fast—the Star Destroyer Finalizer is on your tail. The spinning starship of the dreaded First Order can aim in any direction, and you may be in the line of fire! Bounce the beam off the mirrored deflector shield toward your enemies, and evade the surprise laser blasts! It’s fast-moving, family fun in a galaxy far, far away!

SW_GalaxyHunt_BeautyShotStar Wars: The Force Awakens™ – Galaxy Hunt Game is a game that will be featured at Walmart. This game was great fun and reminded me of a game I used to have as a child, Booby Trap. It is fun to hold your breath as you pull a piece from the game to see how many will pop out!

Game details:

Navigate the galaxy, dodging the First Order’s fleet of vessels while gaining orbital support from Resistance forces. Every move you make could lead closer to victory or unleash an explosive enemy attack! Take turns removing pieces, looking for allied starships. But watch out, pull the wrong piece and the sweeping spring-loaded arm of the Star Destroyer Finalizer will pop pieces out! It’s a game of strategy and suspense!
