This week’s Throwback Thursday takes us back not too long ago, before wi-fi throughout the park, before widespread use of smart phones and apps to plan our day at the parks. How did we ever manage?
After all, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a pretty big park, and as you can see, we put our faith in an accomplished map reader. It turns out she did a pretty good job.
I’d also read in recent months that hard copy maps would no longer be available at the parks. Unfortunately, I haven’t been to Walt Disney World recently, so I can’t verify this. Maybe I should start a crowd funding page to take donations to investigate this and other very important Disney related questions.
Do you rely solely on your smartphone and assorted apps, or are you “old school”? Send us your Throwback Thursday photos!
Since going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland at a young age, Chris has always enjoyed Disney music, TV shows, movies, and trips to Walt Disney World. But his appreciation of the overall Disney experience has greatly increased over the last few years. While waiting for the next chance to work on his Disney photography skills, Chris passes the time listening to Park/Resort audio, WDW podcasts, and checking out the work of other Disney photographers. To Chris, there are no bad Disney trip photographs or photographers.
Non-Disney pursuits include spending time with his wife and children, watching and listening to baseball broadcasts, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and LSU. Chris is a third generation professional engineer in Louisiana, working mainly on asbestos, lead, mold and demolition projects.
