Disney recently came out with a new line called TAG. This stands for Travel Accessories Gear. This came at a perfect time for me I was preparing for our spring break trip with friends and family to Walt Disney World.
I also needed a way to pack my running gear for my first ever Disney race, the Star Wars 10k.
I was able to find a good selection of the TAG line on the Shop Disney Parks App. I have found myself using this app a lot recently. It automatically adds my DVC discount, does not include tax because I do not live in Florida or California, and they have been running a free shipping special. I really wanted the Haunted Mansion travel pillow, but that went out of stock quickly, so it eludes me for now. I was able to get the Mickey Jewelry Organizer, the Mickey Vintage Toiletry Bag and the Travel Packs set of 3.
I had been looking for a travel organizer for my jewelry for a while. I don’t really take a lot on my trips, but I find some things like Pandora and Alex and Ani bracelets can set off the metal detectors at the airport, so I prefer to pack them in my carry on. The organizer opens like a book and there is not way to secure it shut. This was a little disappointing. It also doesn’t have deep pockets. This will work for the trip and the design is super cute, but it was my least favorite out of the 3 things I purchased.
I purchased the toiletry bag for my 13 year old son. He is getting older and need something for his essentials. He loved it and so did I. This bag seems well made and is a really good size. It is not kiddish at all and I have to admit I am a little jealous I didn’t get one for me.
My favorite of the purchases was the travel pack set. I am using this set to pack all my running gear in my carry-on. They are in 3 sizes. The biggest one will be for my running clothes, the medium one for my running shoes and the small one for for all the other little running essentials.
With all that being said I am excited to see more form this line and will be looking forward to checking out the line in Disney Springs and hopefully getting my hands on the Haunted Mansion travel pillow.
Watch this great video from Steven Miller from Disney Parks Blogs as he un-boxes the latest!
My name Jill Laperle. My first trip to Disney was way back in 1978. I still remember the first glimpse of the Magic Kingdom with my parents. I even still have some of those unused original tickets buried in a box.
I met and married my Prince Charming (Jeff) and we have 2 Princes (Riley and Aidan). Mickey and Minnie were kind enough to pop in at our wedding (thanks to our parents) and we had an amazing Disney honeymoon. Both of the boys had their first haircuts at the Main Street Barber Shop when they were a year old. In 2009 we became proud DVC owners at Baylake Tower. I have graduated from the College of Disney Knowledge and keep up with that training just to help people plan trips. I made it to the second round for Moms Panel after years of applying. I will keep trying knowing one of these years it will be my turn. I was a beta tester for Disney InsidEARS. I may have a small obsession with Disney Dooney and Harvey Seatbelt bags. I also love collecting Disney iPhone cases, Chamilia beads and other jewelry finds. I am always showing a Disney Side in a small way. Anything else you would like to know just ask.
