This week’s Throwback Thursday takes us way back to the days before Toy Story Midway Mania, when you could see what it was like to be in the studio audience for a taping of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” The “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Play It!” attraction ran from about 2001 to 2006. Considering the popularity of Toy Story Midway Mania and the Pixar component of the coming Studios reboot, replacing the “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Play It!” attraction was a pretty good move, but I was sorry to see this one go.
If I remember right, the contestants played for a Disney Cruise. I don’t remember seeing anyone win it all, but that would’ve been pretty exciting. Audience members helped when the contestants used the “Ask the Audience” lifeline. Anyway, not a bad way to get out of the heat for a little while.
Did you or someone you know win? Do you have any Throwback Thursday photos to share? Send them in!
Since going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland at a young age, Chris has always enjoyed Disney music, TV shows, movies, and trips to Walt Disney World. But his appreciation of the overall Disney experience has greatly increased over the last few years. While waiting for the next chance to work on his Disney photography skills, Chris passes the time listening to Park/Resort audio, WDW podcasts, and checking out the work of other Disney photographers. To Chris, there are no bad Disney trip photographs or photographers.
Non-Disney pursuits include spending time with his wife and children, watching and listening to baseball broadcasts, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and LSU. Chris is a third generation professional engineer in Louisiana, working mainly on asbestos, lead, mold and demolition projects.
