Throwback Thursday is so much fun. It gives you a chance to remember the fun and opportunities that may not still be around today. This week, let’s throwback to the real “unofficial kick off to summer” – Star Wars Weekends.
The pain of Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival wrapping up did not sting as bad knowing that just across the way, the Force was strong at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Star Wars Weekends would kick off with a spectacular motorcade featuring many Star Wars characters. Music would play. Celebrities would pass by and wave. This was a true family event.
Due to the construction surrounding Studios now, the weekend long celebrations are not being held. I remain hopeful that they will return once DHS returns to a fully functioning park, with a completed Star Wars Land.
