These Wordless Wednesday shots are from our May visit. We were heading to the back of the park to get ready for the park to empty before the After Hours event started. We decided very last minute to watch Wishes, so we had a less than ideal viewing angle. I wasn’t going to shoot anything, but just watch. I didn’t have a tripod with me anyway. Then I saw the way the fireworks were shining through that balloon, so I had to take some shots and see what I’d get.
Ideally, I would have shot instead using a tripod and and ND filter, but I suppose I can say I was exploring my artistic limits by using a Mickey balloon for a lens filter. Not the greatest fireworks shots, but a different perspective on a classic Walt Disney World show. I like the effects the balloon gives.

Since going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland at a young age, Chris has always enjoyed Disney music, TV shows, movies, and trips to Walt Disney World. But his appreciation of the overall Disney experience has greatly increased over the last few years. While waiting for the next chance to work on his Disney photography skills, Chris passes the time listening to Park/Resort audio, WDW podcasts, and checking out the work of other Disney photographers. To Chris, there are no bad Disney trip photographs or photographers.
Non-Disney pursuits include spending time with his wife and children, watching and listening to baseball broadcasts, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and LSU. Chris is a third generation professional engineer in Louisiana, working mainly on asbestos, lead, mold and demolition projects.
