Meanwhile, things donât go as smoothly as planned when Gloria offers to help Kenny cook and Eileen prepares to meet VP Murrayâs mom for the first time. âTHE GOLDBERGSâ â âHO-LY K.I.T.T.â â Murray and Uncle Marvin bond over their love of âKnight Riderâ and attend the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade to see K.I.T.T. in person. Â Upset at his father and uncle for going without him, Adam poisons their relationship but later regrets his actions. Â Meanwhile, when Barry declares he is splitting his time between the Goldberg and Lewis families for Thanksgiving, Beverly hatches a plan to invite Bill and Lainey over. âSPEECHLESSâ â âT-H-A-THANKSGIVINGâ â The DiMeo plan to avoid another horrible Thanksgiving with Jimmyâs brother (guest star Rob Corddry), and his family backfires when the older DiMeo clan invites themselves over to celebrate. Â While Kenneth and Ray destroy the turkey, the rest of the family create a game, checking off the various annoying things their relatives are known for. Â When Jimmy and his brother Billy decide to take their competition to the streets, the family discovers that Billyâs family is not as perfect as it seems. (8:30â9:00 p.m.)
âMODERN FAMILYâ â âThanksgiving Jamboreeâ â Itâs going to be a Thanksgiving jamboree at the Pritchett-Tucker home this year, and Cameron has spared no expense. While Phil tries to get used to Rainer Shine (Nathan Fillion) dating his daughter, Hayley has to break it to her dad that she would rather spend the rest of her holiday with her new boyfriend than staying for the traditional family football game. Meanwhile, Jay has to figure out a way to keep his blood pressure down on one of the most stressful days of the year, as Gloria tries to show Joe that animals are our friends. âLAST MAN STANDINGâ â âMy Father the Carâ â Mike is determined to get Chuck to sell him a car recently left to him by his late father, but Joe (Jay Leno) might beat him to the punch. At the Baxter home, Kyle shows up with a family Thanksgiving heirloom and Vanessa doesnât even try to hide her distaste for the hideous centerpiece. Meanwhile, Kristin and Ryan are forced to lay down some house rules after learning that Eveâs new boyfriend (Travis Tope) stayed over-night in their basement. (8:00â8:31 p.m.)
âDR. KENâ â âAllison’s Thanksgiving Meltdownâ â Allison convinces a reluctant Ken that it would be a fun, family adventure to drive to her parents for Thanksgiving dinner. But along the way, a traffic jam combined with her husband and kidsâ antics causes her to lose her usual cool. Meanwhile, Clark takes charge to serve Thanksgiving dinner at a shelter for the homeless, but his bossiness and unnecessary attention to details drives everyone a little crazy. (8:31â9:00 p.m.) Â

âTHE MIDDLEâ â âThanksgiving VIIIâ â Frankie has come to the conclusion that April (guest star Greer Grammer) is not good enough for Axl and does everything in her power to keep her out of their annual Christmas family photo. But she finds herself vying for Axl’s attention by trying to rearrange timing for the family’s Thanksgiving dinner when she discovers that he plans to go to April’s multiple family get-togethers that day. Meanwhile, Sue goes ballistic when she discovers that Brick will now be her new co-worker at Spudsy’s. (8:00â8:30 p.m.)
âAMERICAN HOUSEWIFEâ â âThe Blow-Upâ â Itâs Thanksgiving, but Katie is less-than-thankful that the holiday features a visit from her least-favorite person, her mom Kathryn (guest star Wendie Malick, âHot in Clevelandâ), a self-centered former Pan Am stewardess. Â Surprisingly, itâs Katieâs nemesis, Viv (Leslie Bibb), who helps ease the tension when she invites herself to dinner. (8:30â9:00 p.m.)

âA CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVINGâ â ABC celebrates the start of the holiday season with the classic half-hour animated Thanksgiving-themed PEANUTS special, âA Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,â created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. A special bonus cartoon from Charles M. Schulz, âThis Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,â will air with the PEANUTS classic. âA CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMASâ â Celebrate the joy of the holidays with the classic animated Christmas-themed PEANUTS special, created by the late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. In the digitally re-mastered 1965 special, Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees everywhere during the Christmas season. Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant, and Charlie Brown accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, Charlie Brown needs Linusâ help to learn the real meaning of Christmas. (Rebroadcast – ABC OAD: 12/20/91). âTHE GREAT CHRISTMAS LIGHT FIGHTâ â Itâs beginning to look a lot like Christmas with ABCâs hit holiday decorating competition series, âThe Great Christmas Light Fight,â returning for its fourth season with returning celebrity judges Taniya Nayak and Carter Oosterhouse.  âThe Great Christmas Light Fightâ features families and neighborhoods from across America decorating their homes to the extreme for Christmas in hopes of winning a cash prize and the coveted Light Fight trophy. The series will air for three consecutive weeks with back-to-back episodes. In each of the six one-hour episodes, four families compete for the $50,000 prize, with a total of $300,000 given away for the season, as they transform their homes into a festive wonderland for the holidays. (8:00â10:00 p.m.)

âMARY POPPINSâ â Set in Edwardian London, the film features no-nonsense nanny Mary Poppins, who flies out of the windy London skies and into the home of two mischievous children of the wealthy and strict Banks family, Jane (Karen Dotrice) and Michael (Matthew Garber). With the help of a carefree chimney sweep named Bert (Dick Van Dyke), the spirited nanny sets off on a series of fantastic adventures with Bert and the children, and teaches their parents some lessons about love along the way. Disneyâs beloved classic received a total of 13 Academy AwardÂŽ nominations, including Best Picture, and won five, including Best Actress (Julie Andrews), Best Song (âChim Chim Cher-eeâ), Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, and Best Original Music Score. âHAPPY NEW YEAR, CHARLIE BROWNâ â Ring in the new year with the animated PEANUTS special âHappy New Year, Charlie Brown,â created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, along with âSheâs a Good Skate, Charlie Brown.â In âHappy New Year, Charlie Brown,â the PEANUTS gang is ringing in 1986 and Marcie and Peppermint Patty are throwing a big New Yearâs Eve bash. Charlie Brown plans to celebrate the holiday by curling up with a big book that weighs nearly as much as he does, Tolstoyâs âWar and Peace.â The bookâs weight doesnât stop him from lugging it to Lucyâs pre-party dance class, where he cuts a mean rug with a rollicking Patty. With just 1,131 pages to go, Charlie Brown takes another break, this time for the party, and summons the courage to invite his true love, the little red-haired girl. She doesnât respond, but hapless Chuck shows up anyway â with Tolstoy in tow. Then, he settles down with the book â on a porch swing in a snowstorm, and in so doing, misses the eveningâs big surprise. In âSheâs a Good Skate, Charlie Brown,â disaster strikes as Peppermint Patty heads to her first major ice-skating competition with coach Snoopy and faithful companion Marcie by her side. âRUDOLPHâS SHINY NEW YEARâ â Itâs Rudolph to the rescue when Happy, the Baby New Year, goes missing, in âRudolphâs Shiny New Year,â the classic Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated holiday special. Red Skelton narrates and voices Father Time, while Frank Gorshin and Morey Amsterdam also provide voices for characters. Father Time (voiced by narrator Red Skelton) asks the most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph, to find the next Baby New Year before midnight on New Yearâs Eve. (Rebroadcast- ABC OAD: 12/26/06). âDICK CLARKâS NEW YEARâS ROCKINâ EVE WITH RYAN SEACREST 2017â â A stellar line-up of the yearâs top musical artists perform during the biggest live-music celebration of the year. The bi-coastal celebration will include hours of special performances and reports on New Yearâs celebrations from around the globe. MONDAY, JANUARY 2
âTHE 128THÂ ROSE PARADEÂŽ PRESENTED BY HONDAâ â Airing live from Pasadena, California, ABCâs presentation of the âRose ParadeÂŽâ will be hosted by ESPN âSportsCenterâ anchors Hannah Storm and John Anderson. The parade will feature floral floats in the theme of âEchoes of Success.â
Hannah Storm is an award-winning journalist, producer and director, a pioneer in the field of sports broadcasting for women, an advocate for childrenâs issues, and a published author. She joined ESPN in 2008 as co-host of the live weekday edition of âSportsCenter.â In addition, Storm has co-hosted many of the networksâ marquee events, including Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, NBA Finals, and Veteranâs Day programming. During the NFL season, she hosts the Sunday morning âSportsCenterâ leading into âSunday NFL Countdown.â Storm annually hosts ABCâs presentation of the âRose ParadeÂŽ.â
John Anderson is an anchor on the Emmy-award winning daily studio show âSportsCenter,â ESPNâs flagship sports news program. On November 3, 2013, Anderson teamed up with fellow âSportsCenterâ anchor Hannah Storm to co-host ESPNâs presentation of the 2013 ING New York City Marathon. For the past three years, they have co-hosted the five-hour race telecast aired nationally on ESPN2 and in New York City on ABC7.
