Skylar Stecker Radio Disney Next Big ThingFifteen-year-old pop recording artist Skylar Stecker (Cherrytree Records) has been named Radio Disney’s “NBT” (Next Big Thing), the popular multiplatform spotlight program that champions young recording artists and showcases their journey as they pursue their musical dreams. The announcement follows Stecker’s appearance at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA) and the feat of production and release of the music video for her single “Only Want You” from the RDMA red carpet. The choreographed performance was filmed in one continuous shot by a single camera, showcasing Stecker’s powerful vocals and dynamic performance style. Stecker will take over Radio Disney and the Radio Disney app to play her favorite music and answer fan questions on THURSDAY, MAY 11 (3:00 p.m. PDT/ 6:00 p.m. EDT).

Stecker has performed the national anthem for several professional sports teams including the Green Bay Packers at the historic Lambeau Field in Wisconsin, her home state. She also performed at the iconic Roxy theater in Los Angeles and at several Radio Disney events including “On The Road to the RDMA” in 2015.
