The NDK Review:
The Marvel Superhero’s Adventure Book, Deck the Malls, is about Spider-Man and his friend Spider-Gwen. They have to save the day from an alien parasite, Venom, who takes over the bodies of people so he can have power. Venom hates Christmas, so it up to Spidey and Spider-Gwen to stop him from ruining the holidays.
This early chapter book is great for any Marvel fan, The illustrations are kid-friendly and fun. The story is easy to read, so it is perfect for beginning readers. But the story is perfect for any Marvel fan looking for a quick, fun holiday story.
This story even offers a valuable lesson – Spider-Man had to learn that everything wasn’t always about him. He had to learn to think about other people. Especially during the holidays. This is a great lesson for everyone to be reminded of.
This book is a great gift idea for the holidays!
The NDK Review:
Countdown to Christmas is like an advent calendar, but in book form! There are 25 different Christmas stories in this book featuring all classic Disney characters! The stories are not excerpts from the movies, but new holiday tales involving your favorite Disney characters – a new short story for every day, counting down the 25 days of Christmas!
I love the stories – they are new stories that I have not read before. They are short, so there is plenty of time to read one every night before I go to bed. I love that the book is hardcover and there is a ribbon bookmark that is attached to the book as well. It makes this book extra special. Any child would love reading these stories every night before bed!

The NDK Review:
Papillon is based on the author’s kitty, who’s name is actually Papillon. In this story, Papillon was playing catch with his friend when he accidentally swallows his toy. The worst part of this is that Papillon can no longer fly. Miss Tilly has to take him to the vet and hopefully he will get better. Papillon is such a fluffy kitty! This picture book is perfect for any fluffy kitty story time fan!

Breath . . . it inspires so many silly sayings. Let me catch my breath. You take my breath away. I need a breath of fresh air. And how did little white flowers come to be known as Baby’s Breath? Breath is a mystery in more ways than one. And this story is all about breath: losing it, trying to find it, even trying to buy it.In the imagination of Paul Briggs, a boy’s breath becomes personified, and it zooms away through farm, forest, and sea, returning only when the boy least expects it.
The NDK Review:
In Catch My Breath, a little’s boy imagination runs wild when he hears his mother say “Slow down – catch your breath!” He wonders – where will his breath go? This picture book takes you on an adventure to help this little boy “catch his breath.” This is a great bedtime story because it is a short story that is full of imagination!
This book is special because it was written and illustrated by Paul Briggs, the head animator for Disney’s Frozen and Big Hero 6. This book is a part of the series, Walt Disney Animation Studios Artist Showcase. Be sure to check out the Author’s Notes at the end of the book for a more detailed insight behind the story itself! This book could be an excellent reminder for adults as well as children – a great gift idea for anyone!

A Kiss Goodnight is a valentine to Walt Disney from the legendary songwriter Richard Sherman. Opening with a touching story about what inspired Richard to write the song, A Kiss Goodnight tells the story of how a young Walt Disney was enchanted by fireworks and how he kept his promise to send all his guests home with a special kiss goodnight. Beautifully illustrated by Disney legend Floyd Norman A Kiss Goodnight will be the must-have picture book for families to enjoy together and for Disney fans to treasure. The book will feature a CD with the song sung by Broadway star Ashley Brown along with a download as well.
The NDK Review:
A Kiss Goodnight by Richard M. Sherman and Floyd Norman is a story based on Walt’s gift to his guests. This beautiful book comes with a CD containing the song written by Richard M. Sherman and sung by Ashley Brown. If Disney firework songs make you cry, then get your tissues ready. This song requires tissues – it is that beautiful.
The book is beautifully illustrated and tells the tale of the land of imagination that Walt Disney created from the beginning. It tells of his failures and his successes. But it focuses on the main idea – never give up. This story is perfect for any Disney fan – a child, an adult, or a family. This book should sit on the bookshelves of every Disney fan, no matter how young or old. It is a timeless reminder of how important dreams are.
