**Disclosure – I received these books for review purposes from the Disney Book Group. All opinions are my own.

Story time is always a favorite in this Neurotic Disney home. NDK (Neurotic Disney Kid) is old enough to read, but not too old to still be read to! Books are wonderful on so many levels. We keep them everywhere – even in the car! Disney Books are a great way to keep Disney at home. Disney Book Group was kind enough to send these books for NDK approval – be sure to look for the NDK Review after the description of each book!

I am a sucker for a good pop-up book. I have loved them since I was a child. Matthew Reinhart, the author of Disney Frozen: A Pop-Up Adventure, has outdone himself with his newest book, “Pixar: A Pop-Up Celebration.” My Neurotic Disney Kid (NDK) and I were extremely excited to sit down and explore all this book offers.

This book features more than just an ordinary look at the vast library of Pixar films and shorts, dating back to 1984! The book shares a brief history of Pixar, while featuring a glorious pop-up display for each movie, highlighting a key scene for that film. It is really hard to just narrow down to one favorite – they are all amazing. I also love that each of the Pixar shorts are also included in smaller pop-up form.

This hardcover book features 12 pages of fabulous pop-up fun with amazing illustrations. It is on sale now at book stores and online. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

This is a very artistic, family book – but I would not recommend for little children. The pop-ups are very intricate. This would make a great book for story time with a smaller child, as you really can sit and gaze over these pop-ups seeing something new each time. If you search carefully, you may even spy a few Hidden Mickeys!

From the publisher:

Featuring five spreads with over 30 pop-ups from New York Times best-selling author, artist, and pop-up master Matthew Reinhart, this breathtaking work of art revisits Pixar’s impressive history. Like each Pixar movie, each pop contains Easter eggs to other Disney*Pixar films. Disney*Pixar: A Pop-Up Celebration is a vibrant tribute to the beloved canon of Disney*Pixar films and characters.
