Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sand TrapMarvel Super Hero Adventures are back with a new book called Sand Trap! featuring The Amazing Spider Man and for the first time, Squirrel Girl! Can Spider Man and Squirrel Girl stop Sandman befores he runs away? Find out in this all new Marvel Super Hero Adventures book!

I liked this book because it is so cute and such a sweet little adventure – perfect for your little superheroes! I also enjoyed the little comic at the end of the book. If I could be one of the characters I would be Squirrel Girl, because she can talk to animals and she is super awesome!

My favorite part was when Squirrel Girl called on all the squirrels in the park to get all of the kids and parents off the playground. That was very funny, especially because Spider Man had called “ice cream” and everybody just looked at him and glared!

I recommend this book to littles superheroes everywhere who love Marvel!

off and away

  • Off & Away by: Cale Atkinson
  • 48 pages

Ahoy maties! Sail away with this new book, Off and Away! This book is about a little girl named Jo who lives on a little island called ‘Off and Away, Message In A Bottle Delivery.’ If you couldn’t guess, this is where all the messages in a bottle go! Jo’s dad delivers all the messages in a bottle to their home. Jo would go with him, but Jo has a very big imagination and is very scared of sea monsters that might lurk below! One day, Jo’s dad got sick and could not deliver the messages in a bottle. What will happen to all the messages in a bottle? Will Jo be brave and decide to go sailing and deliver the bottles? Or will she stay at home and wait until her dad gets better? Sail to your nearest book store and find out!

I think that this book would be a great bedtime story for little kids! Or you could read it just for fun! But you know what would be really fun? Maybe a play or finger puppet show with this story! I love to act out fun picture books, and this book would be perfect for that!

I recommend this book to little kids with big imaginations! Big kids, too!

from the publisher:

How would you get mail if you lived in the middle of the sea? It’s Jo’s dad’s job to deliver it, taking bottles wherever they need to go. He always comes home with exciting stories to tell-but Jo is far too afraid to go out on the ocean herself. Until Dad gets a bad sea cold, that is. With no one but Jo to deliver the bottles, she must find her courage and set sail alone. As she embarks on her mission, her fears just might be replaced with new friendships . . . and grand stories of her own. With beautiful, atmospheric art and endearing new characters by author-illustrator Cale Atkinson, this picturebook is a treasure.

**Disclosure – I received these books for review purposes from the Disney Book Group. All opinions are my own.

Story time is always a favorite in this Neurotic Disney home. NDK (Neurotic Disney Kid) is old enough to read, but not too old to still be read to! Books are wonderful on so many levels. We keep them everywhere – even in the car! Disney Books are a great way to keep Disney at home. Disney Book Group was kind enough to send these books for NDK approval – these reviews are 100% kid-expert approved! But don’t take my word for it.
