‘LEGENDARY,’ AN INSPIRING ANTHEM ABOUT SELF-CONFIDENCE AND THE CELEBRATION OF OTHERS, PREMIERED MONDAY, OCT. 8, ON DISNEY CHANNEL
“Legendary,” an affirming anthem and music video that supports girls’ great potential everywhere and heralds the United Nations’ International Day of the Girl Child (Oct. 11), debuted MONDAY, OCT. 8, on Disney Channel and DisneyMusicVEVO. Made for Kids and Tweens age 6-14, “Legendary” encompasses the spirit of camaraderie and delivers the powerful message that when girls and young women support each other and work together, nothing is out of reach. This initiative further amplifies Disney Channel’s brand promises: “Express Yourself,” “Believe in Yourself” and “Celebrate Your Friends and Family.”
Led by some of the industry’s top young stars – 17 dynamic, multitalented and collaborative young actresses – from Disney Channel’s hit series and movies, the music video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis (director of Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Fifth Harmony music videos). The song was written and produced by The Heavyweights; the GRAMMY®-nominated production team composed of Jamie Jones, Jack Kugell and Matt Wong; along with songwriter Hanna Jones.
A version of “Legendary” is one of the eight original songs performed in the upcoming “Raven’s Home” musical episode, “Raven’s Home: Remix,” premiering FRIDAY, OCT. 12 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel. “Raven’s Home: Remix, The Musical Episode” digital soundtrack features original songs from the episode is available for download and at streaming on Walt Disney Records.
