Hi guys!

Today I’m back with another book review and this time its Burning Magic by Joshua Khan. Burning Magic is the third and final book in the Shadow Magic TrilogyBurning Magic is about three friends: Lily, the “witch queen,” Thorn, the giant bat-whisperer, and K’leef, a prince who has magical fire powers! Lily and Thorn had traveled to Sultanate of Fire, but bad things start to happen! They thought they were visiting their old friend K’leef for his brother’s coronation, but of course, something terrible happens, and that is where everything starts to go wrong. There was a royal murder! And no, K’leef is not murdered. K’leef’s brother was murdered during his coronation. Now K’leef’s other brother, who is evil, decides he should become king. K’leef objects and challenges him to the throne. The friends set off on a quest to find a phoenix, a bird of fire, for K’leef to claim the throne. Lily starts to learn more about herself, and her family and it’s not good. Will K’leef and his friends find the phoenix? Or will they fail? And the question that’s on everyone’s mind, will Lily become terrifying just like her family? Read the book to find out!

This book had a few illustrations that were amazingly intricate and breathtaking! I think that, even though this is a book for older kids, it is cool the author included illustrations to help imagine the world that his words described. Just make sure you don’t read this book late at night!

Let me tell you a little bit about why you shouldn’t read this book late at night. This book includes zombies, ghosts, demons, murders, efreets(fire demons), and much more! If these things frighten you, you should not read this book late at night.

My favorite part of this story is when Lily and K’leef’s sisters, Sami and Ameera, go see the storyteller at the bazaar. The storyteller tells a different version of the story of the Six Princes that brings Lily to shock. Now I would tell you more, but I don’t want to spoil the book! Just know that this part of the story is very important to Lily’s story.

If you like the Shadow Magic trilogy, you will like this book. If you are like me, and have never read the trilogy, you will enjoy this story, but you will want to read the others too. I can’t wait to read the whole trilogy now!

I’m NDK, and this is my review!
