Disney Girls Soccer Showcase moved from November to January to accommodate more teams

Registration for the famed Disney Soccer Showcase is underway and runs through August 15 for the boys event and September 2 for the girls event.

Both tournaments, held annually at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, consistently feature the top youth boys and girls soccer players in the country and attract hundreds of major college coaches looking to recruit the best of the best.

And new this year, the dates for the Disney Girls Soccer Showcase have changed. After previously being held in November, the girls’ event is now Jan. 17-20 and is once again expected to attract more than 400 teams.

The boys’ event, which also draws nearly 400 teams, is December 27-31. Teams for both events can register at

The Disney Soccer Showcase events are two of 10 soccer events taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this year. Other soccer major events include the Disney Memorial Day Soccer Tournament presented by Danimals (May 24-27) and the Disney Cup International (July 15-21).
