I hope everyone gets to visit Walt Disney World during the Christmas season. The Christmas decorations at the Disney parks and resorts are spectacular, and the Christmas trees and resort audio loops are an attraction unto themselves. In November, we had the opportunity to take a (very!) last minute trip, and one of our stops was Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Besides exploring a resort I’d never really visited, I knew I’d want to grab my camera and get some photos of the Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree.
It doesn’t matter what camera you have – smartphone, DSLR, mirrorless, it’s worth getting some shots of the Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree. Just like the resort lobby itself, it’s a beautiful sight and decorated perfectly to fit in with the overall resort theming. Looking back I wish I’d have gotten some close up shots of the decorations, but there were so many families taking pictures in front of the tree or wanting to get their own wide angle shots. And of course, we were moving around a pretty good bit. Maybe another time.
Here are a few of the shots.

couldn’t resist getting a starburst shot

Since going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland at a young age, Chris has always enjoyed Disney music, TV shows, movies, and trips to Walt Disney World. But his appreciation of the overall Disney experience has greatly increased over the last few years. While waiting for the next chance to work on his Disney photography skills, Chris passes the time listening to Park/Resort audio, WDW podcasts, and checking out the work of other Disney photographers. To Chris, there are no bad Disney trip photographs or photographers.
Non-Disney pursuits include spending time with his wife and children, watching and listening to baseball broadcasts, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and LSU.
