White Castle UPDATE: (2/25/20)

White Castle Pressing Pause on Virtual Kitchen Until Full Service Site Opens Later This Spring

We are going to pause operations at our virtual kitchen in Orlando until after our full service restaurant location in the O-Town West development opens. The overwhelming number of orders for White Castle has been humbling and reinforces we made the right choice to choose Central Florida as the site for our next permanent destination Castle. Because of the relatively small size of the virtual kitchen and the incredibly high number of orders, running the virtual kitchen isn’t currently sustainable. We want to apologize for all our craving fans who have to wait just a bit longer as we work towards our opening date later this Spring.

White Castle Virtual Kitchen Update(2/24/20)

We never want to disappoint any fans of the Castle ever. With that in mind, our Orlando White Castle virtual kitchen will remain closed on Wednesday as we invest some time to prepare. We will re-open our Orlando White Castle virtual kitchen on Thursday, February 25 at 10:00 a.m. for on-line pick-up orders only. Order through the app or at order.whitecastle.com. We will not be taking delivery orders through Uber Eats for now, but do look forward to offering that service soon.

White Castle Orlando Launches Delivery Service via Virtual Kitchen Featuring “Craver Favorites” Menu

Orlando Cravers can get a taste of things to come before White Castle®’s scheduled spring 2021 opening

White Castle OrlandoCentral Florida residents and visitors craving fresh hot-off-the-griddle White Castle® sliders are in for a treat: the family-owned business is moving closer to the scheduled spring 2021 opening of its southwest Orlando Castle with today’s launch of a virtual kitchen and delivery service.

White Castle has secured virtual kitchen space in an Orlando commercial facility and hired 25 team members for its delivery operations. Deliveries will be made in partnership with Uber Eats and available within a 15 minute delivery radius of the facility, located close to John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive. White Castle’s delivery menu will offer limited, but wildly popular favorites, including The Original Slider® and other hot and tasty favorites like Chicken Rings, Crinkle Cut French Fries and Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. Consumers can also choose to order online at whitecastle.com/orlando and pick up their order at 18 North Dollins Ave., Orlando, FL, 32805. Delivery operations will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days per week.

“We are committed to bringing hot and tasty White Castle food to Central Florida,” said Mike Guinan, vice president operations services for White Castle. “Our plan is to roll this out thoughtfully with our family owned business emphasis on quality. We anticipate that our delivery operations will scale up in the months to come.”

Leading the effort is newly-appointed White Castle® Orlando Operating Partner Francis Nation, who joined the company in 1996 and most recently served as general manager and district supervisor in the Nashville region. “Nearly 200 applicants sought one of our 25 positions,” said Nation. “We are humbled by the response and expect to hire more outstanding team members when we gear up for our Orlando Castle opening this spring.” In addition to the 25 virtual kitchen employees, White Castle is expected to bring 120 new jobs to the area. Virtual – also known as “smart” kitchens — are commercial kitchen spaces designed for deliveries- and take-out-only preparation by both established brands and concepts without a brick and mortar location. There is no physical space for customers. Orders are picked up by a delivery driver or the customer, and enjoyed off-premise.

White Castle expects to start satisfying Central Florida “Cravers” at its own brick and mortar location this upcoming spring. Located in southwest Orlando at Unicorp’s $1 billion The Village at O-Town West mixed-use development, the 4,567-square-foot restaurant – the world’s largest White Castle — will include indoor and outdoor seating and two drive-through lanes, highlighted by the brand’s eye-catching tower in a sleek, modern industrial-style architectural design.

Since its beginning 100 years ago, White Castle has held fast to its founder’s belief that families everywhere should be able to enjoy an evening at a restaurant with tasty food at a great value. With its Home Office in Columbus, Ohio, White Castle is looking forward to being part of the Central Florida community, providing a place where morning, noon and night, fans can satisfy their cravings and create memorable moments.
